Kontakion 1
To the Lord Jesus Christ, the chosen one, falling down with faith and love before His Second Coming, we cry out: Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Ikos 1
The faces of the angels looked at You with fear and trembling, Lord, when You were crucified for our sake; we are sinners, what can we say? But we dare to pray to You according to Your word:
Jesus, our joy, show us Your mercy;
Jesus, unspeakable love, grant us to love You with all our hearts and all our thoughts;
Jesus, our desire, do not reject us who seek You;
Jesus, Quiet Light, shine upon us with the light of Your grace;
Jesus, our hope, do not let us be deceived;
Jesus, who asks us, “What have you done on earth?” grant us to fulfill Your commandments;
Jesus, do not reject us when You come into Your Kingdom;
Jesus, entering the homes of Your people, enter also into me and transform me in all things;
Jesus, allow me to understand what Your good will is;
Jesus, the merciful One, do not depart from me because of my indifference;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the home of my soul!
Kontakion 2
Give us, O Lord, Your great comfort, and let no one turn us away from Your commandments, so that we may call upon You: Alleluia.
Ikos 2
Promising to dine with those who receive You, make us partakers of Your mysterious supper, and we call upon You:
Jesus, standing and knocking at the door of our hearts, allow us to understand Your call;
Jesus, calling us to purity, give us knowledge of our impurity;
Jesus, true Light, enlighten us, that we may love Your commandments;
Jesus, who seeks to call sinners, open our ears to hear Your word;
Jesus, having nowhere to lay Your head, come and take shelter in our house;
Jesus, we are naked, poor, and miserable, but with Your grace, cover us;
Jesus, infinite mercy, do not forsake us;
Jesus, burning Fire, drive away all our evil thoughts;
Jesus, Physician, heal the pains of our passions;
Jesus, Almighty, comfort us and drive away our pride;
Jesus, Merciful, cleanse us all and save us;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter the house of my soul!
Kontakion 3
You, Lord Jesus, said, “Watch and pray, for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come!” and we cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus!” And as we await Your Coming, we sing to God: Alleluia.
Ikos 3
Calling the apostles to be fishers of men and to serve Your Truth, call us also out of the vanity of life, so that we may follow You with joy and love, saying to You:
Jesus, forgiving Your disciple Peter his threefold denial, give me his repentance;
Jesus, my conscience, allow me to mourn bitterly for my sins;
Jesus, give me tears of repentance, touch my soul, that I may repent of my injustices;
Jesus, behold the desire of my heart: have mercy on me;
Jesus, who said to the Apostle Peter, “Follow Me,” command me also to follow You;
Jesus, You said, “Blessed are you, Simon, son of Jonah,” and he confessed You as the Son of God; give me also his true confession;
Jesus, allowing this disciple to walk on water to meet You, give me also the power of grace not to fear the waves of life;
Jesus, stretching out your hand to Peter who was drowning, stretch out a helping hand to me too;
Jesus, you said, “Whoever is not with me is against me,” allow me to be with you;
Jesus, when you come into your kingdom, enter the house of my soul!
Kontakion 4
You love all people, Lord Jesus, teach me to love my neighbor, to be enlightened and deified by You, and I will praise You: Alleluia.
Ikos 4
You called all those who labor and are heavy laden to come to You to rest, Jesus Christ, grant me also to work for Your holy name without fear of temptation, for I know that my days will end, let me cry out to You:
Jesus, Holy Light, sanctify my daily work;
Jesus, Comforter, take away the sadness of my work;
Jesus, my delight, grant me to bear all sadness for the sake of Your name;
Jesus, allow me to know the Kingdom of God from You;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 5
You said, Lord: “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Behold, I come to the immortal King and my God, crying out: Alleluia.
Ikos 5
You heal us, Lord, from spiritual sickness through pain, hardship, and affliction. With tears I cry out to You:
Jesus, Lord, You Yourself were persecuted from Your temples, give us the strength to endure sorrow for Your name’s sake;
Jesus, you were a Wanderer in the world, help us in our exile and in our journey;
Jesus, Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world, take away the burden of our sins;
Jesus, the wonderful One, suffering because of the sinful world, help us in our misfortunes;
Jesus, weary Wanderer in the world, give peace to my weary soul;
Jesus, who called Your disciples, give me fearless strength for You;
Jesus, Eternal Lord, bless all who seek You;
Jesus, You have all knowledge, You know how I love You;
Jesus, almighty, help me and forgive me;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter the house of my soul!
Kontakion 6
We, Lord, walk on a narrow path, with many troubles, to reach the Kingdom of Heaven—strengthen our feet, so that we may not turn back from the path of victory, but call upon You: Alleluia.
Ikos 6
At the supper in the house of Simon the Leper, You did not reject the sinful woman who came with the crowd to anoint Your head, but You declared: “Her sins are forgiven, for she has loved much.” Good Jesus, my sins are many, but I cry out to You with hope:
Jesus, Good Shepherd, call me as a lost sheep;
Jesus, righteous Judge, give me understanding through Your judgment;
Jesus, save me;
Jesus, You who fasted in the wilderness, give me a true hunger for Your righteousness;
Jesus, being tempted in every way, help me in my temptations;
Jesus, You said that a man can do nothing unless it is given to him from above; send me Your help from heaven;
Jesus, do not turn my heart into words of deceit;
Jesus, my help, my mediator, my joy, save me;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 7
You have commanded us, Lord, to be wise, redeeming the time, for the days are coming to an end; Enlighten me, that I may be saved, and cry out with gratitude: Alleluia.
Ikos 7
Apostle John heard a voice from heaven saying, “Those who die for the Lord have His blessing,” therefore, says the Holy Spirit, they will rest from their labors, for their deeds will go before them. Hearing these words, we are frightened, for we have no justification for our sins and have done nothing good. For this reason, we cry out to You from our hearts:
Jesus, righteous Judge, do not judge me according to my deeds;
Jesus, the Merciful One, see my negligence and the evil I have done, but have mercy on me;
Jesus, take my soul to the undefiled temple;
Jesus, teach me;
Jesus, Son of God, give me, your beggar, your inexhaustible riches;
Jesus, make me your servant;
Jesus, clothe me, for I am naked, having wasted the precious time given to me for salvation;
Jesus, receive me when I come to you in my final hour;
Jesus, when you come into your kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 8
Lord, the hearts of men are filled with the evil of unbelief in our days; therefore, grant us the grace-filled renewal of the icons of the saints as a sign of the renewal of our souls; that, understanding Your Will, we may cry out to You with thanksgiving: Alleluia.
Ikos 8
Your beloved disciple was given a vision, crying out with a loud voice and saying, “How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You delay to judge and avenge our blood on the inhabitants of the earth?” And then the Apostle tells us that “each of them was given a white robe and told to rest a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.” Hearing these things, we lift up our sorrowful voices to You:
Jesus, ease our great sorrow;
Jesus, the Righteous One, strengthen the confessors of the holy faith, who are now grieving;
Jesus, passing through our whole land, cleanse us;
Jesus, tireless on Your way, strengthen the people who are perishing from hunger and disease;
Jesus, who Yourself lived in poverty, help our brothers in sickness and poverty;
Jesus, hear the cry and lamentation of the people;
Jesus, receive the incense of the prayers of the saints, who strive in prayer to You;
Jesus, for the sake of these righteous ones, have mercy on us;
Jesus, You see every drop of tears in our eyes;
Jesus, give us patience to bear our cross;
Jesus, You hear every sigh of our pain, accept us for the cleansing of our souls;
Jesus, instead of the churches destroyed on earth, build churches not made by human hands, that the Kingdom of God may be adorned with them.
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 9
I thirst for Your enlightenment, Lord, give me a thirsty drop of Your grace, and I cry out to You: Alleluia.
Ikos 9
The angels, seraphim, and cherubim and all the armies of heaven look with fear and reverence upon Your great humility; You are the Lord of Hosts, the King and Lord of lords, who after humbling Yourself and making Yourself like a servant, went from city to city calling everyone to the table prepared for You, and we praise You:
Jesus, bless all those who call upon You;
Jesus, who came for sinners, call those who do not seek Your help;
Jesus, Clear Light, enlighten the hearts of our people in the darkness of their unbelief;
Jesus, true Light, shine upon our country;
Jesus, You who said, “Let the children come to Me,” enlighten the innocent children raised in unbelief;
Jesus, save all those who fight for You;
Jesus, Great Bishop, strengthen Your martyred priests;
Jesus, shine with the light of Your grace in the hearts of persecutors, that they may know You, the true God;
Jesus, call all people to great repentance;
Jesus, drive away with Your unceasing Light all evil from us, hunger, need, and spiritual darkness;
Jesus, call me, the poor one, who does not dare to come to You;
Jesus, illuminate the garment of my soul, that I may enter into it;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 10
You, Lord, are the One who conquered death. Give me patience to endure until the end, that I may be saved and stand at the right hand of Your Throne. Accept this prayer of mine, and I cry out to You with gratitude: Alleluia.
Ikos 10
Before the Throne of God, the angels sing, and the saved stand clothed in white robes and hear a voice saying: This is the Son of God, who came into the world to wash the robe of man’s soul in the blood of the Lamb. And we, grateful, sing to the Lord thus:
Jesus, true joy, gladden my soul;
Jesus, let me serve You, as those redeemed on earth serve You day and night in Your Church;
Jesus, my Creator, make the whole world Your Church;
Jesus, teach me that my heart may be Your throne and the mystery of Your life may be fulfilled in it;
Jesus, Savior, accept from me this weak praise as a “sacrifice of praise”;
Jesus, sanctify me through holy communion with Your Body and Blood;
Jesus, my Joy, grant me to praise You with gratitude in my heart;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 11
In the weakness of men, God’s power is made perfect: we are weak in both spirit and body; but strengthen us and encourage us with your grace, Lord, and knowing your mercy, we will sing with joy: Alleluia.
Ikos 11
You have told us all believers, Lord Jesus, that we will have troubles in the world, but that our sorrow will be turned into joy. We praise You and cry out to You:
Jesus, give peace to my soul;
Jesus, help me to leave everything for You;
Jesus, give me strength to walk the narrow path to come to You;
Jesus, Quiet Light, prepare my heart for Your supper;
Jesus, grant me to serve You all the days of my life;
Jesus, teach me gentleness, humility, and to understand the needs of my neighbor;
Jesus, make me follow not my will, but Your good will;
Jesus, grant that the troubles of this world may prepare me for salvation;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 12
With a tender heart and a spirit of joy, You have filled my heart with Yourself, Lord, and I worship Your mercy and cry out: Alleluia.
Ikos 12
At the Last Supper, You said to Your disciples: “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Hearing this which You said, we cry out to You:
Jesus, strengthen us in our struggle, which is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the dominions, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Jesus, teach me to use all the weapons of God, so that I may stand firm on the day of wrath;
Jesus, gird my loins with truth and clothe me in the armor of righteousness;
Jesus, prepare my soul to receive the Gospel of peace;
Jesus, teach me to hold the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation;
Jesus, help me to pray in the Spirit at all times;
Jesus, give me wisdom to remain vigilant, with patience;
Jesus, help me not to extinguish the flame of my soul;
Jesus, grant me to come to meet You with a burning candle;
Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Kontakion 13
O Jesus Christ, Quiet Light, give us the radiance of the soul with Your Truth, so that when we hear Your call, we may come out with a lighted candle to meet You, who come to take our soul Home to Your Kingdom, singing to You: Alleluia.

To the Lord Jesus Christ, the chosen one, falling down with faith and love before His Second Coming, we cry out: Jesus, when You come into Your Kingdom, enter into the house of my soul!
Prayer to the Lord Jesus Christ at His Second Coming into His Kingdom
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, we worship Your Image, Your love, and Your will for us, Your sinful and unworthy servants; hear our prayer, offered to You with faith. Come to us and, through the grace of Your Holy Spirit, teach us to remain in You, as You remain in us; teach us, Good One, prayer, kindness, and patience; give us the spirit of purity, of humble thought, of patience and love, and take from us the spirit of sloth, of worry, of love of power and of idle talk. O Lord Jesus Christ, Most Merciful, coming to us, have mercy on us and save us, through the prayers of Your Most Holy Mother, the angels and apostles, and all Your saints who have served You from the beginning. Amen.
