Come unto me,
Ye of all sexual orientations,
Ye homosexual, bisexual, lesbian and gay,
All ye heterosexuals and queers,
‘Closeted’ and ‘out’, ‘frocked’ and ‘lay,’
OK with it and not OK.
Come unto Me,
For whether ye have married or nay,
Whichever path you now are on,
By inclination, disposition, by stigma or by choice,
Heed My voice:
Do not leave that cross lying on the ground,
Pick it up, yes, make that choice,
Do see that a cross is never imposed by Me,
So, choose to pick it up yourself, and follow Me,
Bring Me your cross…patiently,
And die with Me,
Ye of all sexual orientations,
For I am not of this world,
And neither should you be.
Deny this world, this transient vanity – and come,
Live with Me eternally,
For what ye were or are or did, My children, makes no difference to Me,
The fire of desire I will quench with your tears,
Your scars I will heal with My blood,
Your garment I will wash to shine like snow,
And I will dine with you,
For I love you,
And when you rise above the angels,
All will know,
That you are new.
So,
Come unto me,
Ye of all sexual orientations,
And I will give you rest and sweet repose,
Learn of Me, and be glad and free,
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
So come,
Come out of the night,
And taste the sweet delight of everlasting Light.
In Orthodoxy, I wasn't labeled as a particular sort of person with a certain identity; I wasn't placed in a group with others "like" me; no one said: "God made you this way." In Orthodoxy, I was just another sinner. Thank you God for guiding me there.
