The first duty of every Orthodox Christian is to defend his faith publicly and to be prepared to accept threats, persecution, ridicule, contempt, and so on. He must be particularly sensitive to Ecumenism, which subverts the only correct belief in the one, true God. The learned Hagiorite monk, Theoklitos Dionysiatis, used many examples to expose how devastating Ecumenism is for Orthodoxy. Unfortunately, the pan-heresy of Ecumenism is encouraged and preserved by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, in the hopes that it will become the lifeboat of this critical and highly dangerous era of ours. Clearly this constitutes a delusion, which many clergy and theologians are unable to abandon.
Ecumenism is a cocktail of various peculiar religious beliefs and eccentric philosophies. It is unacceptable syncretism. Everything fits within it – truth and lies, Orthodoxy and heresy. Ecumenism resembles a collapsing roof, beneath which exists everything that humankind can think of. It is a lie most difficult to discern, yet an attractive lie, which tests the conscience, one’s determination, and one’s faith. It is a charming “nothing”, which takes on an existential “hypostasis” within the soul of those who have not experienced the fullness of Orthodoxy, and who have not found “rest for their souls” (Orthodox studies, 1974, pg. 102)
Ecumenism is not [just] a movement that is casually being promoted by certain “foolish individuals of ambition.” It has a clear, global purpose, which if pondered upon, is shocking. Its construct is demonic, for “it claims that there is no truth in anything. With its mosaic composition, it promises to solve all of mankind’s problems. It comprises the means of a new view of life. It is Godless within its own polytheism. It is irreverent in its acceptance of all the irreverent ones under its roof. It sees fragments of truth everywhere – fragments of a broken mirror – which it aspires to unite. It does not accept a personal God and refuses to accept authentic, divinely inspired doctrines. It does not believe in any revealed Truth. [According to Ecumenism] there is no single absolute Truth but rather many imperfect [truths].”
[Recall how on July 15, 2021, Archbishop Elpidophoros, a representative of the Patriarch of Constantinople, stated that all religions are equal, and one should not be put above the other. According to him “all religions are myriads of paths leading to one God”. (UOJ News, Union of Orthodox Journalists, July 19, 2021)]
Furthermore, Ecumenism does not upset anyone; it does not acknowledge the existence of homelands or religions. [In its view] there is only an ambiguous god. Its goal is one universal religion. In other words, ‘let the people have their gods, even if they are idol-worshiping pagans’, provided there are no fanaticisms, so that world peace may prevail, and those most guilty of the misfortunes of the world might have an unrestricted playing field, and undisturbed activity, to take advantage of nations and keep them under oppression and in total dependency.
Therefore, in the face of this great danger – the pan-heresy of Ecumenism – vigilance and a courageous mindset are needed, as well as public outcry and dynamic resistance [to its tenets].

Why is it, every time I open another closet in this House of Orthodoxy, that I am buried with another avalanche of skeletons? In some quarters—obviously—, out of the closet, they have taken over the living room sitting on the couch all nicely cross-dressed with no place to go.
God: “Can these dry bones live?” Me, “I really doubt it, too many have made a compact with the devil and are a brood of vipers.”
In Bible College, I had a friend from west Texas. A chubby red haired fellow, his favorite event out there was the yearly rattle snake round up. As I recall his descriptions, it sounded like a bass fishing contest for snakes; awards for who got the most, who got the biggest etc. Snake meat! Its what’s for dinner; snake shoes, snake wallets, there they make good use of snakes.
Curious as to how you do that, he said you need two things: first a pair of almost knee high leather boots, and a long stick with a fork on one the end. The boots for obvious reasons (defense), and the fork to pin the head down (offence). Picking it up rite behind the head, off the ground it is totally incapacitated, with nothing to launch from. It make no sense to be a rattle snake and stay in West Texas.
In “sout Loooooozeeeana”—I spend a summer interning at a church in Lake Arthur—, dem snakes (cotton mouth) trees jum out uff, always up see. Fishing the bayou in a small dinghy, one was swimming right towards us, with a fish in its mouth. All we had was a b-b gun, a Red Rider. Popping a dozen bbs most hit the fish. Talk about feeling helpless. The snake ducked under the boat within a foot of it, came up on the other side, went ashore to finish of the hapless fish.
During the 1990’s I had a job driving a dump truck. Coming down the steep rock quarry dirt road fully loaded with road base, I noticed a rattle snake in the middle of the road, not 50 yards from the new neighborhood where families lived. Swerving the 50,000 pounds of iron loaded with gravel underneath my butt, I tried to hit it. Stopping and looking in the rearview mirror, he was still in the middle of road sunning unscathed. Jamming into reverse, it loped slowly into motion back up the grade taking another shot drawing a bead through the mirror. Then, looking out the windshield there he was, I had hit the body, but not the head. Oh, joy, mission not finished—in my mind seeing boys and girls like mine playing in the neighborhood. Approaching the snake with a big wrench, the head was fully alive, tongue darting, and trying to strike nonstop, but the flattened body just could not thrust. Pitiful sight. Smacking the head, I cut off his tail—about a dozen rattles—took it home to show the kids.
All of a sudden I have a strong interest in learning about St Patrick. BTW: eagles and snakes are mortal enemies both at the top of the food chain. Eagles can take the snake very high dropping it onto the rocks below: ouch! And the snake, he just sucks eggs. If he does not get the egg or the young, he’ll be dealing with the full grown eagle later on and he always loses that battle. How do you know an egg sucking snake? He is duplicitous in all his ways, he slithers, never uprite, forthrite, and honest with anybody.
At this point I am betting that the Russian Revolution took place because too many clergy—and laity— were participants in secret societies; Luceferianism in its various expressions. The Church was the guardian of the nation; salt as preservative and light for illumination. What percentage created this critical mass for a total melt down? Hard to say. For a conservative guess, I would say over half.
How do I know this?
1. For starters, it’s still going on here in America. It’s the big snake in the room nobody wants to tackle. As it was in Russia, it is here now as the root of all the mess that is going on. If the ax (as per the Baptist) is to be laid to the root, that would be it. When everything was just hunky-dory, all of a sudden much of the Church jerked hard left for COVID. Something happened. When St. Tihkons started Pfizer infomercials—make no mistake—there was full compensation, if not money, something else, that’s how the ball bounces on that court. If you don’t scratch their back, they’ll stab yours. For that to happen, hooks had to be set. Is anybody listening?
2. Nothing angers God more. Why? A pure pagan can be converted. Those that are “double dipping”—doing all the Orthodox ethos, and being a cult member on the side cannot be converted, they have it both ways, or think they do. For God to allow the utter extent of Stalin’s blood bath, not much could be retrieved of that generation. With Sodom, it would have been ten to save a city. The Kingdom of Heaven is always seeking for equilibrium, and—somehow—the cure—Stalin’s holocaust—reflected the level of corruption (see last verses of Malachi KJV or OSB). On several occasions I heard a clergyman say the R. Revolution was a good thing because of the saints it created. That’s just sick. That’s like saying an abortion is good, because the person does not have an opportunity to screw up their lives; some places you just don’t go.
3. The cross dressing symbolisms. Here is one example: the double headed eagle was the symbol of the Russian Empire. But it’s also the symbol for the FM 33rd degree and on many FM books. The interpretation for it being the symbol of Tsarist Russian, was tweaked to something unrelated to its real meaning among the savvy. That the Russian clergy could be so comfortable with it, tells you everything you need to know. And—I ask you—how on earth is anything genetically modified having two heads, in anyway consistent with God who created every creature with only one? Something is amiss. Even the Holy Trinity has ONE Father and “Cause” of the other Two. Anything, everything, with more than one head looks too much like St John’s monsters in Revelation. Furthermore, it has the same meaning as the singular eye (the one on our currency), to be duplicitous, which is the same meaning as cross-dressing. No icon ever hides an eye unless it is Judas (see the Mystical Supper), he was duplicitous. When one eye is hidden, there is duplicity. That’s icon protocol; you always show both eyes no matter how the figures have to be poised to make that happen (see, Prodigal Son). Too many clergy are duplicitous, live two lives, one seen on unseen.
Was Tsar Nicholas a FM? No reliable info on that I have seen. Some who seem to know, say he was a saint. Perhaps, but that he and his family were executed says absolutely nothing about where his inner allegiances were based. That’s because among the duplicitous, they eat their own any time the situation calls for it. That it was Jewish bankers that engineered the Jewish holocaust—fully funded Hitler’s politics— is precisely the sort of thing they hide behind. That the Nazis destroyed FM temples means nothing. It’s a ruse. The two heads means they work both ends against the middle, all republicrats are on the same side no matter the flavor, including Trump, Jones, Beck, Igan, Parks…..
As for the Church, anytime it is overcome it is always—always has been—an inside job, never forget it.
For those hierarchs who think they are safe by aligning with the globalist’s agenda, think again. They’ll be the first to go. All revolutions work that way. The first order of business for the few at the top is to exterminate those that put them there (because they could put somebody else there). When you get into power, you lock the door behind you anyway you can.
The true children of the Church, they want their Church back now. Stop the mess, give it back. Stop channeling outside interests. The day of reckoning is coming.
Christianity is not a religion, but if we can say so, the Religion. Or better still Christianity is the WAY: see John 14:6; Acts 9:2; 19:9, 23; 22:4; 24:14, 22.
What clergymen lack these days—indeed, all God’s people—is the fear of God. They behave as if God is not watching. They easily forget, there will be a day of reckoning—the books in the economia must come into balance. Whatsoever a man sows that will he also reap. It is God’s grace and mercy that we square things in this life before the eternal judgment.
The greatest addiction is the addiction to power—to be in control of things. Its most hideous expression is the addiction to being a clergyman because it hides behind a sacrament—but it is still excessive-compulsive-behavior because it intoxicates, medicates inferiority, and gives a false sense of security. Like King Saul, those addicted turn to the dark side—even sorcery— every time.
Many of St David’s prayers were the imprecatory prayers. When God’s people enter into serious prayer, things will change. Inherently, these prayers seem even more pronounced in the OSB. St Paul said to use ALL kinds of prayers in the Spirit (Eph. 6.:18).
In the world of litigation, there is such a thing as “standing.” One cannot sue unless some injury or loss has been incurred to the petitioner. The imprecatory prayers work the same way. If there is no standing, God just ignores the prayer. Nevertheless, when one has no alternative path of recovery than God, God hears and works on behave of those taken advantage of.
Our Lord taught us to pray for relief in the parable of the unjust judge (Luke 18). As Orthodox we must be able in our Christian walk to be able to toggle between different kinds of prayer. Everything stays the same because God’s people have forgotten how to pray—seriously engage God in prayer, to the point of getting His attention on some issue. We are bereft of vitality, fidelity to the fathers, and bringing about restoration of our churches because we fail to pray—just running the drills, does not cut it in these days of evil rising. If we know everything that can be known about the fathers, yet, fail to pray as they did, we disappoint them; they will never claim us as their heritage.
Every wound/(womb) in the soul left open becomes a portal to the unseen world. How we respond to injure determines what comes through the portal. If we live in bitterness, the demonic can enter our lives. If we use that pain to drive us to God, to cry out to God—discharge that pain as motivation in prayer—God will hear; good things will come through that gate. All adversity is a call to “come up higher” (Rev. 4:1), move us toward God, a portal into a higher dimension.
Everything we do and think is through the lens of the Incarnation—two things can be true at the same time. Not only did Jesus teach us to pray for our enemies (those who have actively sought our injury), He also taught us to seek remediation from our enemies—it’s not either/or but both/and. Walking it out means—use both opposite feet—first step, praying the imprecatory prayers of St David fueled by the pain, then praying in forgiveness that the enemy would be saved. Just because one uses the imprecatory prayers, does not mean he does not live in forgiveness—another of the many mysteries/enigmas of the Church. Being able to do both means to be upright, standing on both feet. To take one and not the others, is to think like a Protestant.

I found your article titled: “The first great step for the coexistence with the heretics”, very disturbing. As Orthodox Christian who lives in the country where this “agreement” has been signed by a priest, I am a bit confused as to how to react to it. It truly bothers me! What can I do? I beg you. Can you tell me what this agreement means in the context of the Church specifically, and to the Orthodox Church in general. I have found that the agreement was realized by a responsible priest in Germany, but not by the Patriarch or some higher ecclesiastical authority. One more query, the document, the so called Document of Lima has been signed and authorized by all the Churches. Please help me.With friendly greetings,Dear Mrs …….,“Greetings in the Lord!”
We praise the Lord that in every corner of the earth there are pious people who do not suffer from the grievous affliction of indifference. A contagious contemporary disease that is widespread, resulting into spiritual paralysis, interrupting as a consequence the Christian struggle and ending in spiritual death.
The proper Christian should be involved in “good restlessness” as Elder Paisios characteristically would say, becoming specifically and primarily interested by whatever concerns his Orthodox Faith. However this vigilance should at no time result in the loss of inner peace and going overboard with unjustifiable stress. And we underline this because the boundaries are very fine and the dangers of losing the correct route extremely serious. What you describe in your letter are topics that cause us stress and many times anger, since they concern movements clearly anti-orthodox and anti-ecclesiastical. Without of course this meaning that we bear empathy towards somebody- whatever he may believe in- or that we oppose healthy dialogues. In contrast we accept with great love whoever has the good intention to seek the Truth.
Please note the said article is signed by a single cleric. We do not consider of special importance, if some Christian agreement was signed by one cleric, who apparently represents higher office, or some higher ecclesiastical authority etc. What is important and worthy for the Church is whether such a decision derives from the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, in step with Orthodox Tradition of our Apostles and Holy Fathers.
The above position many times is unjustifiably misunderstood, suggesting a falsely understood “obedience”. It should be understood that at no time we should doubt the divinely taught Ecclesiastical officiating, without of course forgetting that the leaders of the church are humans. Thus the ecclesiastical history teems with cleric examples (even of Patriarchal and Bishopric Synods) which have been liberated spiritually and finally brought out of the God-Man body of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. While, the heretical and false decisions were disposed of in the waste basket. This is the reason we preach: Do not be afraid, for the guide of the Church is the Holy Spirit. The Great Father St. Athanasius reassures us by confirming: “Upon this (the teaching and tradition of the Lord which was received by the Apostles and preserved by the Fathers) the Church is founded and whoever falls off it, could no further even be called a Christian” (letter to Serapion 1). And this applies to everyone, no matter how high hierarchal position he may hold.
According to everything mentioned, we wish to answer specifically the question about the agreement of Lima. We are not certain by whom it was signed. However we do not understand why you stop at this, since there are more recent ones which (God forbid) reach the boundaries of blaspheme. Your question that you express with justified apprehension, specifically how each one of us should react, we believe it is not possible to be replied with a detailed “prescription”. It can be put though on the path of the Sacred Tradition of Holy Orthodoxy. She teaches us that without fail we owe it to be vigilant and guard our Faith unadulterated and dynamically react against anything and anybody that offends her. However every opposition should be characterized by special attention and discretion. For many were those who through exaggeration and with “not well informed” zeal they were driven to the opposite bank and dropped out of the Church. It is essential as well to study and research the teachings and life of the Saints and of the Godbearing Fathers. Even- and why not- by creating associations with clerics and laity of the Orthodox persuasion, for strengthening and support. Everything though- and we again stress- with care and discretion. Finally, we note the most important: to struggle and live according to God’s commandments and not cease to pray with pain and love for everybody. Let us not forget that our hope and solution for everything is Christ, the Head of the Church. “We believe steadfastly that, as the Prophet said (Is 63:9) neither an elder, nor an Angel saved us but our Lord, (Decision of the 7th ecumenical Synod) May God be with you! In Peace! With blessings, Arch.Kyrill
Years ago, I felt sorry when I found out that Father Theodore Zisis was defrocked for his standing against ecumenism and the Council of Crete. For Elipidophoros knowledge, nothing more constitutes the Orthodox faith, apart from any other religion, then an unconditional love for the enemies. Truly, he is not worth tying up a shoelace for any man who went through the Russian or Romanian gulags. God allowed me the privilege to meet six of the survivors of those gulags and I know how they made churches from the horrible prisons and gulags. It is our duty to continue their legacy against the shady works of the moral dwarfs…
