Kontakion 1
To Him who is the center of our existence, who was in the world before the world began and who will be forever after the end of the world, we bring praise and worship to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He is the Beginning of our blessing and the End of all that oppresses us, and we cry out to Him with voices of humility: Jesus Lord, You Who Are, You Who Were, and You Who Will Come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Ikos 1
From the beginning You were, Christ, for You existed before the Incarnation and the Wisdom through which God created us from His Breath, and after Your second Coming You will be the same, and between the two moments You are revealed in the flesh for a time, then unseen but working tirelessly for us who call upon You:
Jesus, You are the Beginning, the Alpha of all that exists;
Jesus, before Abraham You were;
Jesus, Omega, Your eternity has no time;
Jesus, through You the End is eternal life;
Jesus, the thread of Life is in You;
Jesus, the Word of God from the Logos of the Holy Trinity;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 2
You are not a servant, but a Son; not a soldier of the king, but a King; not a forerunner, but the Messiah, for all the prophecies of the ages have proclaimed You as a warrior who will come forth showing Your glory, and all human flesh will see it, for You have revealed Yourself to the gaze of the mind so that it may understand and the heart may feel how You, Christ, are the only dimension of time: Alleluia!
Ikos 2
In the beginning was the Word, and from the Word were born Meanings that you gave to those who understood, whispering in the ears of those who desired to hear you and giving birth to faith in the world, putting an end to erring ways and enlightening the hearts of those who sought you tirelessly:
Jesus, through the prophets You proclaimed joy;
Jesus, through the righteous You showed the way;
Jesus, through the wise You made men wise;
Jesus, from the mouths of infants You received praise;
Jesus, from the tears of death You have reborn life;
Jesus, First among the Warriors of Heaven;
Jesus Lord, You Who Are, You Who Were, and You Who Will Come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 3
The faithful waited with bated breath for You, King of Heaven, to come and reign on earth in the endless Kingdom of Light, to put an end to spiritual decay and to end the reign of the enemy of the human race, You being the Beginning of Victory and deliverance from darkness: Alleluia!
Ikos 3
Although You were Incomprehensible, You allowed Yourself to be confined bodily in the womb of Your Most Holy Mother, but by this You did not end Your boundlessness, but only descended for a time to us, the bodily ones, to take our nature from within for the healing of those things that seemed never-ending, namely, the sickness of the soul and death, and we who are saved from ourselves glorify You:
Jesus, Alpha, who opens the gates of Heaven for us;
Jesus, Omega, who stops the absence of Light;
Jesus, You began the battle;
Jesus, You will end in victory;
Jesus, You brought the sword, so that we may know how our beginning is;
Jesus, the cup of bitterness we drink is for the end of suffering;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 4
But those for whom You took flesh did not believe that Your Kingdom is not of this world, they did not want to know that You work in hearts, not in palaces built by human hands, and that You want to reign in man, not on the throne of vanity and empty words, so that Your own creation wanted to cast You out of it, this being prophesied from the beginning: Alleluia!
Ikos 4
Bowing Your head to the Will of the Father, You ascended the Cross as the end of death and the beginning of eternal life, tasting death so that we might never taste it again, and descending into the tomb so that we might come out of it forever and honor You as Lord and God:
Jesus, You have the keys of hell and death;
Jesus, opening the door of torment, You raised with You the souls of the righteous;
Jesus, the beginning of our salvation;
Jesus, the end of the devil’s reign;
Jesus, our deliverer from the tyranny of darkness;
Jesus, grant us Your power;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 5
Illuminating the bowels of hell with Your Most Holy Presence, You rose from the tomb as the Sun of the New Beginning, spreading rays of good news to those who sought You at the door of the tomb as dead, though You were Alive, speaking to those who loved You and comforting their hearts, revived by the joy of seeing You again: Alleluia!
Ikos 5
You are the Alpha, Lord, because You began to create, and You are the Omega because no one will ever create after You. Through You, the Beginning came into being when You came to earth as both man and Son of God, for through You we will also bear witness to the end through Your Second Coming, when we pray that You take us to Your right hand, receiving these words from us:
Jesus, You are without end;
Jesus, You have no starting point;
Jesus, through Yourself You are eternal;
Jesus, You gave birth to Christians from Above;
Jesus, You who exist without consuming Yourself;
Jesus, You who manifest Yourself without scattering Yourself;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 6
The light of the world dawned when You appeared from the tomb as the Risen One, You who are the Beginning of God’s creation and the end of death as our fathers knew it, conquering death with the power of the High Priest and placing us at the starting point of repentance and salvation: Alleluia!
Ikos 6
Before the mountains were born and before the earth and the world were made, from eternity to eternity there was the Holy Trinity, and for us there is only one God: the Father from whom all things come, and one Lord: Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and one Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father, and we, singing together with the Seraphim, pray:
Jesus, You were begotten first by the Father;
Jesus, the Firstborn of all creation;
Jesus, You fulfill the Will of the Father;
Jesus, You are the Only Mediator between us and the Heavenly Father;
Jesus, the Father gave His Only Son to the world;
Jesus, You were the ransom for us all;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 7
You are the Living One, Who was dead but is alive again forever and ever. Outside of You there is nothing; everything that can be said about being is spoken through You, and everything that desires to live in Heaven must first pass through You: Alleluia!
Ikos 7
For You, one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day, but You do not delay in fulfilling Your promises, but have long patience, desiring that no one should perish but come to repentance:
Jesus, help us to make a good start;
Jesus, may this be for the forgiveness of our sins;
Jesus, put an end to wickedness once again;
Jesus, put an end to passions;
Jesus, give us victory over the impulses of our nature;
Jesus, enlighten us to remain in You, with You;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 8
There is no knowledge outside of God, and You, Christ, are the fullness of God, the compass by which we guide our lives, the compass that gives us meaning, the Light that clarifies our steps, and through You came the Commandment of the Father whom we glorify: Alleluia!
Ikos 8
All things have been given to You by Your Father, and no one knows You fully except the Father, just as no one knows the Father fully except through You, the Son, because You have revealed Him to us as Father:
Jesus, the beginning of all knowledge of God as Father;
Jesus, You have made His name known to men;
Jesus, You have taught us to say, “Our Father”;
Jesus, we can know the Father only through You;
Jesus, open our minds to hear Your Voice;
Jesus, give light to our eyes, that we may know You fully;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 9
No one comes to the Father except through You, which is why You said: “Whoever acknowledges Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in Heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father Who is in Heaven.” Alleluia!
Ikos 9
Whoever receives You receives the Father who sent You, Jesus, and whoever receives a prophet will receive the reward of a prophet, and whoever receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive the reward of a righteous man. Therefore, Lord, we cry out with tears:
Jesus, show us the truth, that the Truth may be in us;
Jesus, give us the strength to preach You;
Jesus, protect us from the passions of pride and arrogance;
Jesus, if we are worthy, speak to the Father about us;
Jesus, if Your mercy so desires, ask Him to be merciful;
Jesus, we are nothing without You, Lord, be with us always;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 10
You are the Heir of all things, and through this You teach us to say, “Avva!” that is, “Father!”, showing us the connection of Holy Fatherhood with Him, our Father, for You, Jesus, being the Alpha, have revealed the Father: Alleluia!
Ikos 10
The more we honor You, Christ, the more the Father will make Himself felt, and the more we call upon the Father, the more You, Jesus, are present, filling the gaps between birth and death, fulfilling the weakness of nature and mediating eternal life for us:
Jesus, all we need is in You, the Alpha and Omega;
Jesus, in You dwells all the fullness of the Godhead;
Jesus, in You is all joy;
Jesus, we exist only if You are in us;
Jesus, from You, through You, and for You we live;
Jesus, we pray: open the doors for us to enter into the Father’s bosom;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 11
You are the beginning of salvation, and there is no salvation until we come to You, rich in mercy and compassion, and when You grant us forgiveness for our last sin, You open our eyes and minds to the riches of spiritual knowledge, satisfying us with Your love, which we can feel with a pure heart: Alleluia!
Ikos 11
He who delights in the Christian life in Christ the Lord, the Truth, knows that there is no end but only eternal life, there is no death but only the joy of seeing again the dwellings of the Father’s House, there are no kingdoms that perish, but only the eternal Kingdom of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, where the voices of the Angels are heard:
Jesus, the Beginner of all that is good;
Jesus, the Perfecter of all that is;
Jesus, the victorious Fighter of the last days;
Jesus, Order from the defeated chaos;
Jesus, Leader to the gate of Heaven;
Jesus, You who have the keys to the Kingdom, open them for us;
Jesus Lord, You who are, You who were, and You who are to come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 12
You are the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, and Your Cross is the starting point of all that has happened; Your Cross is the power that sets in motion all that happens in the world, and it will also put an end to the flow of events in time: Alleluia!
Ikos 12
When Your sign appears, Jesus, the Great Judgment will come, when You, the slain but Living Lamb, will open the seven seals of the Book of the end of the world as we know it, showing us a new world of Heavenly Jerusalem, and in You, Lord, there will be seen a movement from the beginning to the end and from the end to the beginning, a path of eternity in the Holy Trinity:
Jesus, may the end not be for us;
Jesus, give us a beginning at Your right hand;
Jesus, when You come, do not leave us orphans of salvation;
Jesus, may the joy of the forgiven be our bed;
Jesus, we pray: arrange for us to be in Your time;
Jesus, merciful One, take us to You to be rays of light of Your Gospel;
Jesus Lord, You Who Are, You Who Were, and You Who Will Come, Alpha and Omega, have mercy on us!
Kontakion 13
Lord Jesus Christ, receive with mercy these humble words of praise and with the keys of Your blessing open for us the door of Heaven, that we may make a good beginning of life with You and worthily cross the threshold of the Kingdom of Heaven, and end the cycle of pain, sickness, temptation, and torment of mind and heart, so that we may have the joy of always feeling Your love and glorifying You without ceasing: Alleluia!
This Kontakion is said 3 times.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, Master of our lives, Who suffered for us and thereby raised us up to Heaven like Angels, look upon us, Your servants, and mercifully help us in all our weakness.
Give us a good start in life, that we may find our purpose, know our place, and fulfill what God the Father has sent us to accomplish. End the trials that never cease, take us out of the vicious circle of unhappiness, deliver us from the temptations that repeat themselves, untie us from the time that passes us by, place us in the truth of our lives and bring us victory over those things that seem endless and that bring us harm and barrenness.
Be for us the Holy Clock that beats the pulse of eternity in our hearts, break all the curses, spells, and all the magic that bring us the same temptations, the same pains, the same tears of unfulfillment and suffering, and lead us to the pasture of the victorious where the womb bears fruit, the storm no longer blows, joy fills our souls, and where the choir of Seraphim is heard singing Glory to the Holy Trinity now and forever and ever. Amen.
Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, through the prayers of Your Most Holy Mother and all the Saints, have mercy on us and save us! Amen!
