Much of the pressure for “Medical Assistance in Dying” and “Euthanasia” really boils down to a failure of palliative care. We just experienced a failure of such care during the “Pandemic”, which led directly to the panic over a disease with an avg age at mortality of 78 – 80. We Orthodox Christians must become as active in end-of-life issues as we are concerning abortion. The vulnerable at both ends of the spectrum deserve our protection.
