Fr. Peter Heers is an Orthodox priest, blogger, podcaster, author, publisher, and conference speaker. In modern America, he attracts controversy like few Orthodox clergy. Fr Peter was vehemently against COVID vax mandates, against the vaxes themselves for their connection to abortion, against the lockdowns, church closures, changes to liturgical practices, against transgenderism, against gay rights, against the US-backed persecution of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and strongly in favor of traditional Orthodox morality. Fr Peter has often been attacked over his teachings, both by those inside and outside of the Church. But lately there is another reason that has made Fr Peter controversial. There seems to be some question about his canonical status. Namely, is he under a canonical bishop? An Orthodox blogger named Craig Truglia provided some context on this matter last year. Below is an excerpt, here is the full article:
The priest petitions to the Metropolitan and First Hierarch of ROCOR, who unambiguously receives the priest after being sent documentation permitting the priest to be received. The First Hierarch of ROCOR then assigns him to a local bishop.
For more than half a year there is no issue with this arrangement. Suddenly, for reasons not publicly enunciated, members of ROCOR’s synod and the First Hierarch then reconsider the latter’s decision to receive the Greek priest. They continue to consider him a priest of good standing. However, they now recognize him not as a priest who has already transferred from the Moscow Patriarchate, but rather as one in the process of transferring. Then, months later, after reviewing the matter members of ROCOR’s synod allege the transfer never went through and the Greek priest is still under the Greek Metropolitan. The Greek Metropolitan, who canonically released the Greek priest, refuses to recognize this, citing his letter of canonical release. As for the Greek priest, having been released long ago by the Greek Metropolitan and then accepted into ROCOR from the Moscow Patriarchate, this reneging on his reception makes his status uncertain. In effect, there are multiple episcopal authorities alleging that the Greek priest belongs to a different jurisdiction — a set of circumstances out of his control.
The above situation can be summarized as follows: a Greek priest is released to enter the Moscow Patriarchate to serve in America. The MP’s plans change so he moves to ROCOR. Decision makers in ROCOR ex post facto “invalidate” his reception, presuming that he belongs to a Greek Metropolitan. This is despite the fact that the Metropolitan had given the priest a canonical release to the Russian Church. Due to the preceding facts not yet being made public, many scrupulous laymen fear that somehow the priest is a free-agent, thereby invalid sacramentally. However, if documented evidence demonstrates his reception, in reality the priest is properly under his canonical bishop.
It is not my intent to argue over the canonical status of Fr Peter Heers. Rather, let us focus on that phrase from the above excerpt, “For more than half a year there is no issue with this arrangement.” (That was last year. More time has elapsed since then.) Fr Peter is not new on the American Orthodox scene. He has been a well-known figure for quite some time. Now though, all of a sudden, Fr Peter has become the first priest in history whose canonical status has been specifically addressed by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America via a “special communiqué”.
According to the communiqué, in November 2022 the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (known as ROCOR and which does not participate in the Assembly) wrote a letter to the Assembly (which it doesn’t participate in) indicating, “that the Very Reverend Archpriest Peter Heers is not a clergyman of the Eastern American Diocese or of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, nor is there any pending consideration of his reception.”
For some reason the Assembly got this letter, was very disturbed about its implications, but then waited until 4/20/2023 to issue an unprecedented and very urgent communiqué letting everyone know about the letter from ROCOR and that:
The Assembly can further confirm that Archpriest Peter Heers is not a clergyman of, or on loan to, any other canonical Orthodox jurisdiction in the United States. To the extent that this individual purports to act as an Orthodox priest in the United States, including celebrating the Divine Liturgy and the other services of the Church and teaching the faithful and those who inquire into Orthodoxy, he does so in a manner outside of the Holy Canons.
This raises some serious questions, especially because the Assembly is not an actual Orthodox Synod:
…the Assembly is both consultative and programmatic. It is consultative insofar as, while it has no administrative authority, it is a forum for the exchange of ideas and creation of templates, best practices, and models for each Bishop to implement as he sees fit in his own diocese. At the same time, the Assembly is to be programmatic in its goal to coordinate and ultimately unite the common ministries and pastoral practices of the various jurisdictions.
The Assembly meets annually and functions by a consensus of all its members.
Should this proposal be accepted, it is hoped that the Assembly of Bishops will be succeeded by a governing Synod of a united Church in the United States.
No administrative authority, and operates by consensus on the basis of an annual meeting. Yet, somehow, this body with no actual authority, in between meetings, was able to get the agreement of over 50 separate bishops, in different jurisdictions, to put out a communiqué casting aspersions on the canonical status, and thus the teaching authority, of a very politically incorrect (faithfully Orthodox) priest?
How did this happen? Which Orthodox bishops thought, even with Orthodox persecution in Ukraine, persecution of Palestinian Christians in Jerusalem, the ongoing sanctions / occupation of Syria harming Orthodox Christians, plus our own mounting troubles in America, that the most important thing to do right now was put out a communiqué about Fr Peter Heers?
Seriously?
Who started this? Were all the bishops asked for their opinions? All 50+ of them? Maybe just a majority? Were any of the bishops even asked for their opinions? The communiqué is unsigned. There is no information available as to how such a communiqué was issued and by whom. It simply appeared, and enemies of Fr Peter then spread it far and wide.
The situation makes one wonder, did this whole thing originate from Archbishop Elpidophoros and his staff at the Greek Archdiocese? One must wonder that, because Archbishop Elpidophoros is the Chairman of the Assembly.
If you have been paying attention, you might have noticed that the United States is less a nation than it is a funding source for various public / private “complexes”: Military-Industrial-Intelligence Complex, Pharmaceutical-Hospital-Public Health Industrial Complex, Prison-Law Enforcement Complex, Educational-Teachers’ Union Complex, Environmental Complex, etc. If all the pigs at the public trough had an official Christian chaplain to provide cover for their nefariousness, he would be the Patriarch of Constantinople, currently named Bartholomew, with Archbishop Elpidophoros mostly standing in for him in the US.
Since at least WWII, the Patriarch of Constantinople has been an exemplary asset of the US Security State (the mother who birthed all the baby complexes mentioned above). The ties between intelligence and the Patriarchate are so tight, that the US has openly decided Patriarchal succession and policies.
In 1948, the 62-year-old Archbishop Athenagoras of America was elected the new Ecumenical Patriarch. The CIA described this event the following way: “Soviet attempts to use the Greek Orthodox Church as a medium for persuasion and propaganda have undoubtedly received a setback with the election of Athenagoras.”
Athenagoras was received by President Truman who offered the presidential airplane for the Patriarch-elect to fly to Istanbul.
If you think anything has changed, please note that Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople suddenly went from recognizing Metropolitan Onuphry as the head of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, to considering him a foreign nobody in his own nation simply because Joe Biden and the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo at the time, came calling. As explained on The American Conservative website in an article entitled Zelensky vs. the Ukrainian Orthodox Church:
The State Department and politicians of both parties carried out work to promote the new church. Two months before the creation of the OCU in 2018, Filaret and Epifaniy met in the United States with Joe Biden, who declared his gratitude for their work. State Department Ambassador for Religious Freedom Samuel Brownback, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and special representative for Ukraine Ambassador Kurt Volker declared their support for this project.
Immediately after its creation, the OCU received its first official congratulations from the State Department and the U.S. Embassy. At the same time, Ambassador Brownback and the U.S. ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt—who was also ambassador to Ukraine from 2013 to 2016—visited church leaders and Mount Athos to urge them to recognize the OCU. Both Ambassador Volker and Secretary Pompeo met with Epifaniy many times. All facts indicate that the promotion of the OCU was part of U.S. policy in Ukraine.
So now Metropolitan Onuphry and his UOC, whom Fr Peter Heers and 80% or better of the Orthodox world support, are suffering for Christ. A fact that the Patriarchate of Constantinople in general, and Archbishop Elpdophoros in America specifically, go to great lengths to cover up, deny, and excuse.
The American Deep State, the author of our horrible Ukrainian policy, clearly appreciate Archbishop Elpidophoros’ dedicated service, and seem to consider him one of their own. The Archbishop is even privileged to speak at the National Intelligence University:
NIU is a unique and technologically advanced university that focuses on the profession of intelligence and is the only institution of higher education in the nation that allows its students to study and complete research in the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) arena.
A sincere question to all those who deny the ties of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, and the various “Greek” Archdioceses around the world, to the US Security state – can you explain what we are seeing here?
Persecution of the UOC is reaching a fever pitch, such that even the UN has taken notice. The war is clearly not going in Ukraine’s favor, and even the mainstream press has had to acknowledge that. Against that backdrop, an effective advocate for the canonical Church, such as Fr Peter Heers, is suddenly declared an uncanonical wandering priest with no teaching or sacramental authority? By the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops, of all things, which has no real authority, and has never commented on the canonical status of a priest before. And, which oddly enough, is headed by a bona fide asset of the Deep State?
One can’t help but wonder about such coincidences.
The American Deep State has spun many a narrative that is beginning to unravel, and not just concerning Ukraine. Among these is the fitness of President Joe Biden to be in office. The DNC already announced that there will be no Democratic Primary debates. The DNC has put its thumb on the scales of democracy before. The RNC has as well. We all know that Ron Paul was unacceptable to the ruling class, as was Bernie Sanders. Neither was allowed to seriously contest for their respective party’s nomination. But back then, both national committees feared being this brazen about stealing a nomination. Now it is all done in the clear light of day.
Donald Trump took the Deep State by surprise with his winning populism. The Governing Elite will take no chances of another populist victory in 2024. There is simply too much money and power at stake. Joe Biden has to win.
There will be no debates in the Democratic Primary. Media, social and mainstream, will be kept on a tight leash. Especially with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. threatening the sitting president with pesky, traditional Democratic ideals such as pro-middle class polices, peace, and freedom. Deep State power must continue unimpeded, and that requires enforcement of fidelity to the Vax, to endless global war, and to Woke, including all its dogmas: transgenderism, worship of power, corporate supremacy, gay rights, “Democracy” (correct outcomes only), Greenism, CRT, abortion / anti-natalism, open borders, ecumenism (many paths to God), and censorship of incorrect opinions. In all this, Archbishop Elpidophoros is the Global Elite’s guy. Fr Peter Heers is not.
One could really fill a whole book with the awfulness that are the services Archbishop Elpidophoros has rendered to the American Deep State. His Eminence embraced Joe Biden as a candidate and practically endorsed him for president when praying at the Democratic National Convention. Archbishop Elpidophoros actually declared that Orthodox Christians could not refuse the mRNA jabs, despite their link to aborted fetal cells.
Patriarch Bartholomew and Archbishop Elpidophoros gave Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla the Athenagoras Human Rights Award in 2021. This was done after even the dullest knives in the drawer had realized the mRNA “clot shots” did not stop transmission of COVID, did very little at all for younger people who were mostly unaffected by the virus, were responsible for horrific side effects, and had no long-term safety data. Never mind all those pesky details, or concerns about medical freedom and human dignity. Archbishop Elpidophoros was one of the most COVIDian of all bishops, and defends those misbegotten policies, including masking toddlers in Church, to this day. Big Pharma, Big Capital, and Big Government were happy with hysteria-driven power and profits, so Elpidophoros and Bartholomew were fully on-board then, and still are now.
Elpidophoros marched with BLM, a communist organization. Archbishop Elpidophoros and employees of the Greek Archdiocese regularly espouse CRT. Archbishop Elpidophoros has openly discussed communing non-Orthodox spouses, a radical change in the life of the Orthodox Church. During the Pandemic, he was a champion of using multiple spoons for the Eucharist. As part of his commitment to ecumenism, Archbishop Elpidophoros celebrated Divine Liturgy in an Episcopal Church, St. Bart’s, that was decorated at the time by a giant “Gay Pride Flag”.
Archbishop Elpidophoros is pro-choice on abortion. He actually said this out loud at the March for Life in 2022.
He’s doubled down on that stance since in subsequent interviews. His abortion comments earned a justified rebuke from other Orthodox Bishops. Curiously, the organizer of said rebuke, Metropolitan Joseph of Antioch, was not long afterwards embroiled in a “scandal” and resigned.
One tends to wonder about such happy coincidences.
Archbishop Elpidophoros is also a huge friend of President Joe Biden, the most pro-abortion, pro-war, pro-sexual exploitation of children, and generally anti-human president we have ever had. According to the Archbishop, President Biden is a true friend of “Hellenism”. In an interview on the 20-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, Archbishop Elpidophoros had this to say about President Joe Biden:
In July 2020, after the reconversion of Hagia Sophia to a mosque, he was quick to call me on the phone to reconfirm his unequivocal support to the Ecumenical Patriarchate, while this past March, he honored us by speaking through video at the celebration of the bicentennial of Greek Independence Day. I know that in President Biden, our Church and Hellenism has a friend in the Oval Office.
The love is mutual, by the way, as Joe Biden never misses an opportunity to praise the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the loyalty of the Greeks:
“The one thing about the Greek community I’ve learned over these years — and it’s been 50 years, I hate to admit it, it’s that long — but is loyalty, loyalty, loyalty. And I tell ya, I think my sister and I, my family and I, have returned it. But you’ve been incredibly, incredibly loyal,” Biden said.
The Greek Archdiocese is the base of support for the Fordhamites who are academics committed to changing the Orthodox Church’s teachings on a host of issues. The Patriarch of Constantinople commissioned the ghastly Social Ethos document that practically made the “Great Reset” of the World Economic Forum part of Orthodox moral teaching.
The rich and powerful Archbishop, whose cringe-worthy behavior regularly repels potential Orthodox converts, is not the subject of a communiqué from the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops. That would be weird. He’s the chairman after all. Why would the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops take him to task just because he does and believes so many really, really, blatantly anti-Orthodox things?
Instead, the honor of being the subject of a special communiqué falls to a simple priest. One who just happens to oppose the “official narratives” at a time, unfortunately for Fr Peter, when control of the narrative is all the Deep State has. Reality has already left them behind. The powers-that-be are running a senile old man for president as he stumbles through an expensive, hopeless war in Ukraine. The US Elite are backing a Ukrainian government of ultra-nationalists who are abusing Christians – women, children, monks, priests – while closing media and silencing opposition. All in the name of “Democracy”, of course. As we send billions to Ukraine, the US is falling apart at the seams. Americans are robbed blind by inflation, drowning in debt, and increasingly angry. All the while, our beloved leadership class is busy ruining the same military with Wokism that they plan to use in fighting a war against China.
Never fear though, despite wallowing in a pit of failure, the Ruling Elite will continue to find time to lecture average Americans on the joys of deviant sex, childlessness, and outright child sexual abuse. The Woke are targeting our children, and more people know that now than ever. Which makes it seem quite strange when Archbishop Elpidophoros, and many in his Archdiocese, dismiss all this blatant grooming as mere “culture war” politics.
So Tucker Carlson got fired from Fox News, as his commentary hurt the official narrative of everything is fine – just vote for Joe Biden in 2024. More media heads than his rolled as well, and we can expect more to roll in the future. We can also expect even more private / public partnerships to censor and control the media. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. brought to our attention a partnership between the Pentagon and financial behemoth Vanguard:
Twitter files reveal that Pentagon partnered with Vanguard in billion dollar project to censor free speech in America. Are any of my fellow Democrats troubled?https://t.co/bCH5P1fwon
— Robert F. Kennedy Jr (@RobertKennedyJr) April 26, 2023
It is the desperate hope of the Deep State that the “narrative” can be kept alive through November 2024, and a senile octogenarian can be re-elected to keep the power and money flowing for the “in-crowd”.
Archbishop Elpidophoros helps that goal. Not only domestically, but also through his endorsement of the Zelenskyy Regime and his condemnation of those evil Russians. Many of the “Greek” academics and clergy around him are just as corrupt in service to the Ruling Elite as he is. However, corruption within the Church is not limited to just the “Greeks”. The Orthodox Church in America also has its share of issues.
Given the situation with Fr Peter Heers suddenly being “unreceived”, one might question whether issues with corruption extend to ROCOR as well? (If there is more to this story from the ROCOR side, now is the time to tell it.)
Unfortunately for him, Fr Peter is both popular and extremely dedicated to Christian Orthodoxy, which the anti-Christ fools running the “West” desperately want to control and even transform into a prettier Episcopal Church. That is why the canonical status of a regular priest like Fr Peter is suddenly such a hot topic. It’s not really about his canonical status, or lack thereof. If Fr Peter were Woke, or at least pro-Zelenskyy and pro-Joe Biden, then neither the banishment from ROCOR nor the unexpected communiqué would have ever happened.
Woke, pro-Deep State clergy never suffer for their politics, their heresies, their actions, or their crimes against Orthodoxy.
Cosmas – an Orthodox Christian
We are truly missing the calm hand and wisdom of Vladyka Ilarion, who passed from this life many years ago. Does the Russian Church in America so fear persecution as to disown this voice of truth in their own ranks? Fr Peter Heers may have been out of line speaking the way he did, but his treatment suggests that the problems run much deeper. May God guide our Patriarchs in their leadership and save the persecuted.
How deeply grateful I am to Father Peter for the hours upon hours he devotes to teaching. I owe him great thanks for the majority of my ongoing catechesis. It pains me to see the state of the Orthodox Church hierarchy. I naively thought joining the true church I would have an ally in standing against tyranny and lies upon lies being heaped on us daily in every area and aspect of life. I remain dedicated to Christ and Orthodoxy and thanks to Father Peter will not abandon my church but pray for us all and trust God is at work here. Father Peter my prayers and support are with you as you have prayed for and supported me and many others with badly needed truth and teachings, teachings that he passes on, not made up in his own mind by the way. He has my deepest respect and affection.
In Christ, Mary
Hello Mary! A heirarch I know once, in conversation, took a full glass and threw out it’s contents, pointed to the drops of water left in the bottom and warned us that ‘this is the remnant that will remain in the last times’. As we have been warned, even the elect will be deceived. The Orthodox Church will not be spared from the spirit of antichrist. Cling to God. When all else fails, He never leaves us, if we will not leave Him. Pray, Mary! The battle waged for our souls by our common enemy is great, he knows his punishment is near. Our great Church will fall, and only a remnant will remain. May God help all those who sincerely seek Him!
Dear Brothers and Sisters; in these the last days of the last days, survival means coming to know two extraordinary Beings assigned to you. First, the Holy Spirit, and second your guardian angel/s who were sent to minister to those who are the heirs of salvation. Not new, the fathers have always said these things, yet we ignore them to our peril. It’s time to return to basics.
Functionally speaking, Christ has ascended to the right hand of the Father, and, of course, our Father is in heaven. When Christ ascended, he promised “another Comforter.” Our Lord’s verbiage is clear; the disciples were to know the Holy Spirit as they had known Christ in bodily form. They walked with Christ, talked with Christ, asked Him questions. No doubt about it, this is the same manner in which the original disciples—both men and women—were to know, work with, and follow Holy Spirit.
If Holy Spirit is just something on the calendar called Pentecost, and no more, you will be deceived, and what you don’t know can and will kill you and your children. It’s time to cultivate a relationship with the Holy Spirit who will “guide you into all truth”, to walk in discernment or be destroyed along with the world. Only Holy Spirit will guide you step by step through the mine field of destruction set by the enemy of our souls.
It is commendable that many in the modern day seek the “T/truth”. It should bring them to Christ, without which no truth exists. However, Truth is not information, but rather a state of being. People want information so they can dodge the dangers, but that alone will not work because we are in a spiritual warfare. Only when secured in Truth, can you be safe and parley every assault of the enemy who goes about AS a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. The choice is simple: either know the Holy Spirit and be led into truth, or be devoured by the lies.
Coming to Orthodoxy in 2013 I assumed the Church to be a purveyor of T/truth as G.K, Chesterton had said. While this would be the norm, COVID revealed otherwise. When one of the most reputable OCA Archpriests said in a public email, “Want to know what the Church thinks about the Vaccines, check (link)”, my perceptions collided with reality, somebody was lying to us all and not just one, but many lied. Upon my investigation, the material put forth said it was safe for pregnant women to get the shot. Additionally, the statement, “what the Church thinks” in any context is extremely problematic. Only canonized statements—all of which are from THE 7 Ecumenical Councils and those things fully congruent with the Vincential Canon, can be described as “what the Church thinks.”
No opinion, no edict, no encyclical, of any clergy can ever be described as “Church thought” unless it echoes those two immutable standards. To treat otherwise is papism, and Orthodoxy is not RC, and the crux of the difference. Just because a bishop says something, does NOT make it the Church and future generations may deem it pure heresy. His only authority is maintaining what always has been, not to make it up as we go along. Only when his words echo the fathers are they reliable. Never has blind obedience been the norm in Orthodoxy all are without excuse.
Some have said about me, that I am “not Orthodox.” Again, this is bogus: it was a covenant act (baptism) that made me Orthodox, and only through another covenant act—excommunication—can that be undone.
The same with Fr. Peter: It was a covenant act that made him a priest and only by a covenant act with due process can that be undone. Being disowned by both ROCOR and GOA places him beyond any defrocking—because nobody has the jurisdiction; his priesthood is sealed unto death.
Recently, I have become more familiar with the workings of angels to assist us. Holy Spirit is leading me into that truth. If we are oblivious to angels, their work on our behalf will be limited. Whatever “truth” we believe becomes the realty we exist in. Learning how to work with our angels will be key. They are beings and to acknowledge them—like any person— more often is to empower them to fulfill their tasks in assisting in spiritual warfare in particular. Talk to them as if you could see them, they are there. Ask Holy Spirit to reveal the work of angels.
I have seen the angel that informs my mind—really. While I was writing—as I am now—I sensed a strong presence over my left shoulder (just like St John’s Icon—my patron saint). Without even thinking, I looked left and for a second saw in the spirit a very bright—almost blinding— light. Symbolically, a lamp stand sits on my left, I have it now.
What was so interesting was what subject matter I was writing at the time. I was writing on the subject of masculinity, and Christ’s maleness in how he related to His mother and how that changed over time. I was illustrating by the story of Christ’s going toe-to-toe with the wisest of His day at age 12 in the temple was an obvious transition from boyhood into manhood, all Hebrew boys were test in their knowledge of the Law. Manhood is developed through a series of “initiations” or graduations. For Jesus in His masculinity, this was one. At this point, His mother’s attempting to exercise authority over Him received pushback—“I am about my ‘Fathers business’”. Here Jesus cut the apron strings—for good—became a man while still in submission while living on Joseph’s turf, but embarking toward His providential destiny in the hands of The Father which was beyond the purview of His parents. They had to let go. It’s the same for every man. From that time forward, Mary’s position became counselor, not governor. Even at CANA, Jesus marked out the clear boundaries of His masculinity with His mother through a brief pushback, “Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come” (ASV). Note: He calls her “woman” (not mom, matuska, presbytera, or mother superior) to be distinguished that He is “man.” And, she does not argue but gives instructions to the servants, knowing He will fulfill her wishes not as a command but as a request. Again, Jesus grants the wish but protects his masculine boundaries making it clear, she has no authority over Him but He of His free will grants the request.
To make this story all the more fascinating, it was Mary that was the invited socialite; Jesus and His disciples were tag alongs by association; “Jesus also…”. As honored guest, she had authority over the servants, not Jesus, who was there more or less by default association to His mother, and the disciples by extension. Even in this context, Jesus kept clear His masculine boundaries. In the context of the wedding, Mary was an honored guest—Jesus the tag along. In her relationship to Christ, she was appellate. For the miracle to take place, she bridged the gap between the servants and Christ. Isn’t this just so typical of the work of our Holy Virgin Mother? In whatever she has authority in—where ever she is the honored guest (your home?)—; she still bends our Lord’s ear.
On the cross, Jesus demonstrated His governance over His mother, by handing that off to St John in, “Woman behold thy son (John)….Behold thy mother.” Here St John is clear, “And from that hour, the disciple (John) took her unto his own home.” In the ASV/KJV, “home” is italicized, added by the English translators. It technically reads, “He took her unto his own” or took her under his wing of masculine authority as mother. The operative word is “took”, the volition was his not hers, hers was—as always before—submission—, “be it unto me according to Thy will.”
Understanding covenant makes it all come alive.
Thank you for sharing your enlightening message.
Why do not the Orthodox have priests like this:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/umyF9OC35fca/
Is it because Satan cannot cast out Satan? If any believer is going to live free, he/she must understand spiritual warfare and how to be free.
Welcome to ROCOR (Russian Orthodox CIRCUS Outside Russia). Barnum and Baily had nothing on these guys. With what they are doing to Fr. Peter by reneging on their word and pushing him into the canonical twilight zone, they are just clowning around; right? It’s a joke, rite?
As for the ROCOR Synod of Bishops, (AKA, the Brotherhood of the Potted Plant—never getting their XXXL backsides out of a desk chair); how long does it take to process a transfer. Or shall we say, undo a transfer already made? How deep does this duplicity run? Is it confusion or is somebody jerking their chain?
Or, welcome to the OCA, (Orthodox Church [insane] Asylum). Who is BB fitting with a straight jacket this week? Nothing works better than OCA shock therapy; it’s how they keep all the good priests in line with the political agenda. Those in strait jackets, perhaps they should find a new home, but, where?
Or, Welcome to the GOA (Gomorrah Orthodox America). If movie ratings were applied to bishops, Elpi would get an X. Don’t forget to hide the children…really hide the women too… really, is he fit for any human consumption outside LGBT? If this is what he is like in public, what is his private life like?
As for the Assembly of Canonical Benedict Arnolds of America, how is the Russian Circus now legitimizing them by giving them anything other than the time of day? Or, just using them to do their dirty work. Looking at the leadership, how is this not a den of thieves? This is Ecumenism under the puppet master, the EP himself. There is no point in fighting ecumenism, we’re already there. Really, who is funding this mess, the US state department? Or Pfizer? (Did St Tihkon’s ever get paid for the Pfizer infomercials?)
Many Orthodox faithful are behaving like many good hearted, God fearing, rosary reciting Catholics; so tired of the horse puckey from the clueless Orthodox ecumenicists popes et al, they just stay home and do devotions on their own—it’s safer for the children; nothing to explain to the teen agers other than the birds and the bees. Has anybody seen that life boat I talked about a few years ago?
But — the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops does offer the “Wisdom on Wheels” series, where bishops tediously drone on while being chauffeured around the suburbs. That makes up for a lot, I’m sure.
If a bishop really wanted to resolve Fr. Peter’s situation, he could do so in a few minutes.
Escaping the mark of the beast and evil rising will take this kind of fortitude:
https://www.bitchute.com/video/D1AVqdGyD6Vf/
This is my new anthem toward all evil including that, that is well nested in Orthodoxy.
Warning! Rant ahead.
It’s really important for the Orthodox rank and file have some perspective as to what is really going on with our bishops, clergy, and other institutions.
As for the GOA, it’s really obvious the leadership above the priests is in the tank with the globalists puppet masters. As an FYI, the LGBT&whatever letter is vogue—, is extremely well funded and has been for generations. In Colorado, you have the Gil-foundation and others placing hundreds of millions of dollars into political campaigns and have targeted key leaderships in every influential arena. The Episcopalians are perfect example of this, and their overthrow was over 30 years ago. Fr. Josiah Trenham can tell you all about it, as he used to inform folks regarding these operations.
Orthodox hierarchy have been the target of political operatives for decades now. They have also been heavily targeted by secret societies. When these men cave, they then become an agent of some outside interest.
This means they wear a leash. Everything looks fine, all the praxis goes on as normal, everything on the calendar is plugged in, nothing looks out of order or irregular until…. But, when the overlords needs something, e.g. cooperation in distribution the frankenshot, they simply give the Tizroc a call, and the Tizroc, gives St Tikhon’s Seminary a call and in a week or two the top educator is dancing hilariously doing Pfizer infomercials******free of charge*****, and the Orthodox theological society (whatever its called) it staging itself as medical experts sorting medical issues, telling pregnant women to get the jab. Now hindsight is 20/20. Does this all not seem odd? It’s all totally out of character for the Orthodox, because its not.
It’s obvious to everyone Elpi wears a leash held by extreme political alliances to the highly funded, powerful gay community. It’s easily discerned that the EP is on a very short least of the American State department. But make no mistake others have the same connections. Met. Jonah’s tenure at the OCA was mysteriously short, because he refused to be leashed to long standing political alliances channeled by the office secretaries.
Many wearing the leash you would never know because they are so cool about keeping the Orthodox way ongoing just as normal as could happen. They do everything rite, even make converts. When COVID came along, those wearing the leash got their chain jerked and they danced the dance required of them. It was time to pay the piper.
Now when somebody like Fr. Peter comes along who is actually warning people of the dangers of the shots, there you have a true shepherd, because he is protecting the sheep rather than sending them to the slaughter house like some OCA and GOA bishops/priests.
Of course the Serbs went about the Lord’s business as if COVID—or the shot—never existed. Of course, when Bill Clinton bombed their homeland back to the Stone Age, they got wise real fast and they never forgot how evil the American government can be. For the Serbs, rendering to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, it was a swift kick in the a….rite out the door.
We all need to gather around Fr. Peter and put up a shield of prayer. I guarantee, he is under demonic assault from highly sophisticated cursings (“wiles” of the devil”). St Paul said, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Some of that “wickedness in high places” is squatters holding office in the Orthodox Church. And they don’t have to put on their drag for us to see it. Some bishops now have bouncers…..for another time. All that mess in Ukraine…it’s here too, just more under cover. And it’s going to get worse before it gets better.
Fr. Peter and others like him are the future of the Church. Not only must they survive, they must thrive, and it’s up to us to make it so; through prayer and support. Call and give him your affirmation, let him know he is not alone; we stand with him in every way. In affirmations, money works real well—where your heart is your treasure also is.
If this does not rile you up, then your humanity is comatose; a zombie. My nearest neighbor, their baby died at about 3 weeks old. The baby just rolled over and died, no warning whatsoever! The Funeral is TODAY!!!
The baby was VACCINATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This heinous act was done in a relatively RURAL hospital.
All you bishops and priests who are not warning of the damning effects of the shot, shame on you. Its a shepherd’s job to protect the sheep, and most of you are woefully lacking. If Fr. Peter sets an example of warning (to his own peril), I stand with him. This inaction is not just incompetence, its treason to the Church, God and the human race.
The day of recognizing will come, make no mistake.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ij15Pwa1dxE
Can Fr. Peter or any other Priest that may become an outcast, precisely because he stands up against the heretical teachings of bishops, be a Theologian and teach that way, even if he is not allowed to be a priest and serve the sacraments? I know it is not ideal, but I would like to know if anyone knows this. I recently learned of a priest in Europe that was invited by his bishop to serve liturgy with the non-orthodox priests. When the priest refused, his bishop defrocked him. I am afraid we are going to hear stories like this more and more and that’s why I’m wondering what the options for these great soldiers of Christ are.
There is no reason he cannot serve the sacrament. His induction into the priesthood was a covenant rite action and the only way to undo that is with another covenant ritual action. Without that, he’s a priest for life. It would be the same if a priest’s bishop died and not soon replaced. He has no bishop, yet nothing says he cannot serve in the interim. Like that story from Europe we’ll be seeing priests asked to violate matters of Orthodox Conscience more and more. But in the long run this will sift the Church and bring clarity parsing the corrupt from the wholesome faithful.
Yes but it seems there is a lot of ambiguity surrounding him and there must be a reason we can’t find out about the jurisdiction he is part of. Another possibility is that he does what he does with the blessing of a Bishop but he is very discrete about it to not cause problems for the Bishop if things go south for Fr. Peter. It seems the wolves are out to get him.
Are we all going to get the communiqué ? I agree that he should look for a bishop, there are still a few that are not compromised. In the mean time, I say, judge them by their fruits. I would go to great lenghts to meet Fr. Peter while I will run out of town if one of the above bishops or patr. Barto would come to our church even for a visit. Stay as far as possible from those that are persecuting the real orthodox/the Church of Christ.
Hopefully the Archbishop knows this is not the real Joe Biden he continues to meet?
If Father Peter Heers does not find a bishop to align himself with, he will be joining the like-it-or-not schismatic rank of Papa-Lefteri of Australia. I suggest he try joining himself to Cypriot Bishop of Morphou, who is like minded on the church and vaccine issues.
It is also important for these bishops, such as Morphou, to reach out to those priests who find themselves “orphaned” lest Orthodoxy fall prey to Protestantism, and instead of moving forward by cleansing herself of the internal corruption, she regresses deeper into heresy.
All of us, including the clergy who are discomfited by the bishop they are under, need to practice “patient endurance “ as our Lord admonishes in revelation, so that we resist jumping ship lest we drown in the tempest if we leave the Church.
Soon enough, as Arizona’s Elder Ephraim of blessed memory predicted, there will be a proper Holy Ecumenical Synod which will put everything in order. This, however will happen in God’s time, not ours.
That is a question we asked concerning the blowup in the OCA in Montana. How do things which should be handled quickly and quietly end up becoming dumpster fires. Fr. Peter has shown no sign of wanting to go “rogue”. He seems to genuinely want to be under a bishop. So instead of publishing a communique, and cause all kinds of issues, why not quietly just fix the issue? Instead, this public communique seems to be designed only to cast doubt on the validity of his teaching. It does nothing to solve any issues, other than allowing critics to say, “Oh, you can’t listen to that guy. He doesn’t even have a bishop!” That seems wrong on so many levels.
Metropolitan Jonah wrote the forward to the book on death that Fr. Peter published. Metropolitan Neophytos would be a wonderful bishop to be under, but Metropolitan Jonah is in the US. It seems that we could have some mercy and solve this without any in-fighting at all. That is, unless the in-fighting and chaos are exactly the point?
I thnk you have a point. it’s almost as if they want to purposely single him out as an example, and as a warning to any other priests who might feel tempted to stand up for true Orthodoxy rather than towing the party line – Ecumenism.
Let’s face it: the Hierarchy of the Greek Orthodox Church, and perhaps of some other jurisdictions, has been hijacked by Ecumenists for the past century. They are almost there with a union with Rome, and they are not about to let those priests with an Orthodox mindset and concscience, (like Father Heers) stand in their way. it is a cruel game of nerve-racking ghosting intimidation they are playing, not only with him, but probably with any other Bishop who would be inclined to accept him.
At this point, I believe it’s a waiting game; waiting for the writing on the wall, the next schism, to actualize. And then, everyone will be free to pick their side with no ecclesial political repercussions. I think we will be surprised by the number of priests and hierarchs picking the side of Traditional Orthodoxy, being more than we had imagined. So let the Ecumenists do their worst (to themselves) and let them fall on their faces. Maranatha Lord Jesus!
I sincerely doubt there will be “more than we imagined.” The Covid psy-op was the stress test; and most people, including most priests and bishops, failed the test via fear of sickness, fear of death, fear of government, and fear of losing jobs and pensions.
I believe the next real schism will occur in conjunction with the Third Ecumenical Nicene Council in 2025. This upcoming gathering proposed by Pope Francis and Pat. Bartholomew invites “all Christians” to send representatives to meet together in 2025 to commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea.
This gathering will peel off the troublesome ecumenists from the Holy Orthodox Church and give them a chance to join the Latins by proposing “a common cup” and a common date for Easter and Pascha, proposals which the Latins and the ecumenists will jump on.
Do you have a priest and a parish nearby who will not go along with these ecumenist changes and will stay Orthodox? If not, you should make plans now to move near one. They are few and far between.
Bottom line: Fr. Peter is the Church in its rawest form. Let him run with it and everything else will build itself out over time because the Orthodox DNA is in him; THAT IS THE POWER OF FATHERHOOD, to jump start the future. When you see the genuine, go stand with it, support it. Send him your tithes—if your bishop is apostate (e.g. BB, Elpi etc).
I’ve met plenty of Orthodox priests who see Fr Peter as a valid priest. He’s is properly standing against the spirit of the age that infects (and always has) bishops and priests who are disobedient to the faith.
I encourage all who struggle with concern and what they should do. I encourage us to be faithful to the faith, and to repent daily. Continue to receive communion, it’s still gold even if offered by a tarnished hand. Find a true spiritual father to confess to, and pray for all leadership. Christ will hear our prayers, and struggle is the only way to grow spiritually.
How about we simplify: here is the reason they do not like him:

I wonder, why the MP won’t receive him. Would be such a win for them. Perhaps because they were strongly pro-vax themselves. Or perhaps Fr. Peter doesn’t want to, after exploring the topic for his Russian catacomb saints lecture series.
This is the time when all the voices will be silenced one by one. The Orthodox Church will return to the catacombs. That will make the Orthodox church stronger because now there is a lot of apathy among the parishioners and some of them are even leftists in their heart. This story of this honest priest is a symptom of things to come. It is all not if it is going to happen but how soon it will happen. The deadline of the changes is the year 2030. May God help all the true and faithful Orthodox Christians around the globe.
I’m confused….isn’t there some kind of paper trail documentation he was received by ROCOR and released by the Greeks? It seems like there would have to be, you can’t just set up your shingle and say “hey, I’m here on behalf of *whoever*”. Isn’t he being paid by some diocese (forgive me if this is the incorrect word, I’m new to Orthodoxy and not as accurate on the terms as I would like to be) within ROCOR? Isn’t he in some kind of communication with the ROCOR Bishop, my understanding is the Bishop is essentially the “boss” of the local parish priest? It seems like this could all be easily resolved but then again it would seem like there are obviously some facts missing??
One thing that is being overlooked in this discussion is that there is some real concern about the actions and behavior of theses outspoken voices, and a clear unwillingness on their part to be humble in discourse with other orthodox. I have the unique and unfortunate experience of coming out of abusive fundamental orthodoxy, and though I am still an (extreme) conservative orthodox Christian by modern standards, I can see the red flags and danger in many of the conversations coming from the online orthodox community- heers, jay dyer, and their various recent converts and incels claiming to create a dynamic debate online. I know for a first hand fact, that some of the concern coming from the orthodox leadership about these figures is because they are seeing many spiritually abused parishioners and a steady leaking of orthodox Christians who are leaving the church because of interactions with these individuals. Instead of reasonable discourse, I see is orthodox who agree with them on most points but are calling for humility, adult behavior, and moderation are immediately dismissed and slandered.
If we want to see genuine orthodox living become the norm in the American Orthodox Church you cannot ignore the voices of those who have hard earned experience. The only thing I see being accomplished is division and petty behavior, which is seriously disappointing when our voice on the issues of our times in so badly needed against the rising tide of liberalism.
We are making ourselves unwelcome at the table of discussion by aligning with people who have bad public behavior. I would ask everyone to take a hard look and not just dismiss all the concerns from our church leaders as deep state. Yes we have an issue with false church leaders, but we also have festering rot coming out of our own side. I pray to God we can see it an course correct before we create our own destruction.
Have you ever watched any of Jay’s videos? He has been instrumental in the conversion of a lot of people to Orthodoxy and is a great apologist for us. From what I’ve seen he sticks to explaining the theology of Orthodoxy and doesn’t take it much further than that, so I’m not understanding where his critics are coming from. I’m also not seeing where either he or Fr. Heers are displaying bad public behavior. Perhaps you were not referring to them specifically and I misunderstood. I agree our voices need to be heard against liberalism-I guess I’m confused as to what you think they should be doing differently? Along with you, I pray we can see these divisions correct themselves before too much damage has been done. These are certainly evil times.
Perhaps you aren’t in the private groups then, or watching their Twitter conversation. And yes, I have seen and am not dismissing that there is some good here. But my opinion comes from direct experience and not second hand
Nicholas, you’re on fire!
Rebekah, I get what you’re saying and it’s not unfounded. I’m sorry for the experiences you had to go through. But here’s what bothers me. A certain well known voice in American Orthodoxy, who used to be a Parish Priest in PA, but now has a full time job working for a well known Orthodox media group, also demonstrates a clear unwillingness to be humble in discourse with other Orthodox. Why doesn’t he ever get called out? Furthermore, it’s very odd that the same Bishops who wrote this thing to call out Fr Peter, seem to openly tolerate (secretly support??) the Fordham crowd, an Archimandrite in NYC, and others who are openly flaunting their push to change The Church. I wonder why that is?
You mention “bad public behavior.” I’m sorry, but this is a red herring. Those working to subvert The Church always put on their best behavior when in public, then do their dirty work behind the scenes. Then, they have the audacity to call out those defending The Church, for “bad public behavior.” In sum, at this point, it’s obvious to see what’s going on and who the players are. We have two choices: we can either follow the two thousand year old teachings of The Church, or we can support those who are working from within to destroy The Church.
