Eternal God, Who cannot be comprehended by our minds, being humans limited in thought and understanding, we pray You help us become more humble, more patient, more wise, more enlightened.
God the Bright Light of Glory, enlighten our hearts, minds, and souls!
All-wise God, make us wise so that we may understand and fulfill Your Will!
Protective God, protect us from the cunning and evil ones and their dark deeds!
God the Tireless, give us strength in faith and zeal for good things!
God All-Burning Fire, humble us, cleanse us, and ignite our hearts with Your fire!

Loving God, pour Holy Love into our hearts!

All the heavenly powers, knowing Your power and mastery, have chosen between good and evil, the undeniable good, the universal good, and those who understand all this say with great love:
Most Holy God, forgive us our sins and sanctify us too!
Most High God, lift up our souls to the heavens!
Eternal God, help us to be with You forever!
Merciful God, have mercy on us and be gracious to us!
Perfect God, guide us toward perfection!
Most Pure God, help us to cleanse ourselves of sin!

The Heavenly Powers saw the separation of good from evil, which was done with great turmoil, and many trembled, saying: Let us stand firm and take heed! – and others were afraid, saying: Let us stand in fear and take heed, lest we fall, brothers! With humility and love, let us pray thus:
Glorious God, we glorify You and worship You!
Humble God, make us like You!
Good God, pour out Your goodness upon those who follow You!
Generous God, send gifts to our souls too!
Almighty God, we thank You for all the gifts and wonders of life!

The Good Lord descended upon Mamre’s oak tree and spoke with Abraham, and out of love and respect, He accepted the earthly feast, He being Uncreated Fire and Creator. We, who are the work of His hands, let us sing to the Lord with love: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

God said why He came to Earth and promised Abraham that if He found ten righteous people, He would do nothing to those in Sodom and Gomorrah, but finding none, He fulfilled His Holy Mission, and we say with reverence and faith:
Most Glorious God, we worship You as Abraham and Sarah did!
Gracious God, be gracious to our souls!
Great God, save us as You saved Lot!
Righteous God, do not burn us, even though we are sinners!
Living God, Eternal and Loving, have mercy on us sinners!
Almighty God, protect those who work for the Glory of Your Name!

The prophets of old felt Your Power descending from Above, Lord, and inspired by the Spirit of Wisdom, they sang to You: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Descending in holiness upon the prophets and the righteous, You inspired them to write down all the holy things they heard, and we, Lord, say to You:
Holy God, sanctify us and help us!
Most High God, hear our prayers!
Eternal God, help us to be with You forever!
Merciful God, have mercy on us!
God Almighty, may Your Will be done in all things and in all people!
God Most Enlightened, enlighten those who have fallen asleep!

Seeing the weaknesses of men, You did not abandon them, but gave them encouragement through Your chosen ones to come out of their state of sin, and therefore we pray to You thus:
Generous God, send down Your Holy Grace upon us!
Mighty God, grant us strength and power in faith!
Invisible God, descend and raise Your tent in our hearts!
All-seeing God, we pray, look upon our troubles and have mercy on us!
God All-Knowing, make us know what is good and useful for our souls!
God Understanding, make us know, understand, and fulfill Your Will!

The Lord Jesus was incarnated from the Holy Virgin Mary through the mysterious work of the Holy Spirit, and we Christians, with humility, with fasting and much prayer, say thus:
Most Holy God, descend and make Your holy dwelling place in our hearts!
God the Creator, clothe us also in Your Holy Light!
God the Immortal, do not let us perish under the weight of our sins!
God the All-Loving, teach us to love You above all else!
God the Protector, protect us from the evil one and his wiles!
God the Guide, lead us on the Way to Your Holy Kingdom!

Your divine power descended in a mysterious and miraculous way, and the Lord Jesus Christ rose on the third day according to the Scriptures. Thanking the Lord that through His sacrifice of love He saved us, let us sing to Him with reverence: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

The divine power descended three days after the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus, raising the Son of Man from the tomb, and we, as is fitting, say with faith:
God, Who raised Your Son, raise us also to eternal life!
God, Who raised Your Son from the dead, do not leave us in the tomb of sin!
God, Who gave Your Son all power, give us power to overcome evil!
God, who casts out the disobedient, cast out all our enemies!
God, who has turned sinners to Christianity, turn all our loved ones to You!
God, who has frightened all your enemies, drive away our enemies!

The Holy Spirit descended upon the Mother of God and the Apostles ten days after the Ascension of Jesus Christ into Heaven, and we, desiring the Holy Spirit to descend upon us as well, sing to Him with faith and love: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

The descent of the Holy Spirit was accompanied by a loud sound, in the form of tongues of fire that did not burn those upon whom they descended, but enlightened them. All the disciples of the Lord and the Holy Mother prophesied on the Day of Pentecost in Jerusalem.
O God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon the Mother of God, send Him upon us too!
God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles, send Him now upon all the righteous!
God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon Your disciples, send Him also upon the disciples of today!
God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of the Apostles, send Him also upon Your children!
God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon Your chosen ones, send Him also upon Your chosen ones of today!
God, You sent the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of the first century, send Him upon this century as well!

Having power from God, the Holy Apostles preached throughout the civilized world of that time, turning many from worldly deception to the Holy Truth. We, with faith and love, glorifying God, sing to Him: Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

The Law of Grace came through the wonderful preaching of the Holy Apostles, who had the Holy Power given from Above. Desiring God’s Grace to descend upon us as well, we humbly say with faith:
Most Pure God, cleanse all people from their sins and have mercy on them!
True God, strengthen the Christian Orthodox faith in the Holy Spirit and truth!
Righteous God, straighten the paths of each one of us!
Mighty God, turn us all back to You and strengthen our faith!
Good God, do not let the wicked distort Your righteous paths!
Most Honorable God, accept our worship and love!
Holy Spirit, pour out Your Holy Power upon us, Your sinful servants!

The Holy Apostles, the Holy Fathers, the Martyrs, the Pious, those pure in virginity, and all who have worked righteously and walked the good path have received wonderful gifts from the Good God. Desiring that the Holy Spirit covers us with His Holy Light, let us pray thus:
Holy God, strengthen and sanctify those who love You!
Holy God, pour out Your Holy Grace upon those who do Your Will!
Holy God, strengthen the Holy Orthodox Faith in Your people!
Holy God, put Holy Love in the hearts of all people!
Holy God, protect and sanctify your people from the entire world!

Prayer
Lord God, the Living, Eternal, Almighty, and Loving One, do not let us sinners fall into the abyss of sin, but strengthen us and guide us on the right path of the Holy Gospel, preached by our Lord Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, we pray that You descend and make Your home in our hearts and bring Your Holy Grace and Power upon us, so that, being wise, we may do good deeds for the rest of our lives. Thus, armed with Your Power, Lord, and with Your wonderful holy teaching, may we walk the right path, doing Your Will, to the Glory of Your Holy Name. We thank You, Lord, for all Your blessings and gifts, both seen and unseen, known and unknown. May the Lord God be loved, glorified, and praised forever and ever! Amen!
