One Year Later, Asking the Hard Questions

A Scenario to Consider: It is October 2023. While the pandemic officially ended 6 months ago, practically speaking, even Brandon and lockdown-loving CNN declared it finished over a year ago. You’ve had a year to recover, depressurize, reassess. Thank God, you feel like things have finally returned to pre-pandemic “normal”.

But now, Canada is ramping up its restrictions again given a new strain of the virus is rearing its head in schools. Full-blown masking, lockdowns, vaccine mandates, cell phone tracking of the unvaccinated. Flights into and out of the country have all been cancelled. This time, the Canadian government implemented a new QR code app, provided by China, which Canadian citizens are required to scan in order to enter grocery stores, schools, and government buildings.

Pansy Monster Trudeau, after recently announcing his gender fluidity, is actively pressuring the White House to implement its own draconian measures, given the transmissibility of the latest strain. He also just announced that Canada will launch its own version of CBDC.

Brandon is completely on board and, given a recent dangerous increase in the number of cyber attacks on banks in the United States, announces the United States will transition to its own CBDC within a year’s time, eventually doing away with all forms of cash.

While the above is a fictional scenario, it certainly is a plausible one. And as we saw over the past three plus years, many people will enthusiastically comply with government overreach when it happens again. What is not fictional, already reality today thanks to advances in AI, is that our DOJ, Intelligence Community, and local governments have all had plenty of time to improve their ability to predict pushback by individuals and organizations. They have all drastically improved their ability to track the noncompliant via facial recognition software, smart devices, CCTV, and online activities. Churches, private organizations, community groups, even podcasts and influencers that openly criticized the pandemic over the past few years are being watched very closely. This is the world we live in today.

Now, onto the difficult questions. First, if this scenario plays out in October 2023, what will you do differently this go around? What have you resolved you will do in the next lockdown? What have you learned, what have you changed in your home or relationships or lifestyle given what you learned during the pandemic?

If your answer is, “Nothing” or “Not much, really”, unfortunately you are not alone. While I lack hard evidence, I do possess practical experience having spent almost 50 years on this earth dealing with people from all walks of life. My experience informs me that most people simply want to avoid confrontation. They do not want to be contentious. Most folks just want to go along to get along. Unfortunately, for our country and the continuation of our freedoms, this persistent attitude is precisely why our government leaders will have no qualms enacting what we experienced from 2020-2023. And if we, the People, do not push back, we can watch our Liberty get flushed down the drain, never to return again without, as Thomas Jefferson said, “the tree of Liberty… refreshed… with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

So, again, back to the questions. What would you do differently? What have you done to prepare for this scenario?

Have you told your priest he should NOT lock down again, and if he does, you and members of your parish will find another parish?

Have you talked to your local sheriff and informed him that the members of your community will NOT comply with lockdowns and infringements of their Constitutional rights, and that you expect him, if he wants to remain sheriff, to support the rights of the local community?

Have you developed some new skills, in the event you lose your job? Practical, in demand skills that you could use to barter with?

If you were a fearful, compliant Covidian the first go around, have you repented, apologized to your flock or parish or friends and family and resolved not to let fear control your life again?

Have you grown closer to Christ in your Faith? Will you trust in Him more the next time you lose your rights or freedom or job? Have you asked Him to grant you wisdom and guidance in preparing for a time when Christians are persecuted for their Faith? When you lose all your material possessions?

Have you purchased those items that you know will be tracked with the introduction of CBDC?

Are you ready to stand up for your Faith? For Liberty? For your God-given rights?

These are the types of questions we all need to ask, now, before the above scenario becomes a reality again. Unfortunately, too many readers of this article will go about their lives, hoping against hope that the return to “normalcy” is permanent. Unfortunately, those readers are living in a dream.
