There has been a stunning increase in the number of young Americans who identify as homosexual, bi-sexual, and/or “trans”. This ongoing societal transformation is best illustrated by the following information from Gallup:
The percentage of U.S. adults who self-identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or something other than heterosexual has increased to a new high of 7.1%, which is double the percentage from 2012, when Gallup first measured it.
Roughly 21% of Generation Z Americans who have reached adulthood — those born between 1997 and 2003 — identify as LGBT. That is nearly double the proportion of millennials who do so, while the gap widens even further when compared with older generations.
The percentage of Gen Z who are LGBT has nearly doubled since 2017, when only the leading edge of that generation — those born between 1997 and 1999 — had reached adulthood. At that time, 10.5% of the small slice of the generation who were adults identified as LGBT.
More than half of LGBT Americans, 57%, indicate they are bisexual. That percentage translates to 4.0% of all U.S. adults. Meanwhile, 21% of LGBT Americans say they are gay, 14% lesbian, 10% transgender and 4% something else.
Given the large disparities in LGBT identification between younger and older generations of Americans, the proportion of all Americans who identify as LGBT can be expected to grow in the future as younger generations will constitute a larger share of the total U.S. adult population. With one in 10 millennials and one in five Gen Z members identifying as LGBT, the proportion of LGBT Americans should exceed 10% in the near future.
The situation is changing so rapidly that even honest liberals, such as comedian Bill Maher, have been forced to sit up and take notice:
“According to a recent Gallup poll, less than 1% of Americans born before 1946, that’s Joe Biden’s generation, identify that way, 2.6% of Boomers do, 4.2% of Gen X, 10.5% of Millennials and 20.8% of Gen Z, which means if we follow this trajectory, we will all be gay in 2054,” he said to applause.
Maher is an atheist. If this sudden transformation in the sexual mores of our youth can trouble him, shouldn’t we Christians be even more alarmed?
The standard societal answer is that kids are born homosexual, bisexual, and/or trans. It is an innate characteristic that is unaffected by nurture or environment. According to this logic, the stunning increase in these numbers is only because greater societal acceptance has empowered people to “be who they really are”. In other words, 20.8% or more of every generation was always LGBTQ+, they just couldn’t express themselves as such.
This is, of course, complete garbage. For decades now, LGBTQ+ propaganda has been relentlessly promulgated throughout all society. This was done by design, as a method of preparing society for revolutionary change. Marxists, under the influence of the Frankfurt School, gave up on workers uniting to overthrow the Capitalist system. Instead, they embraced sexual revolution (plus deviancy, feminism, and CRT) as an important way to weaken the family enough to pave the way for their glorious, Marxist future.
In reality, no baby is born “gay”, bisexual, or Trans. However, pretending that babies are born “that way” has two important benefits for the revolutionaries:
- It links traditional sexual morality to mere prejudice against “innate” characteristics. The progressives can then link such purported prejudices (“homophobia”, “transphobia”) to racism – which has been reborn in the modern era as the Original Sin. Object to “same-sex” marriage? Progressives will almost always answer, “Didn’t people object to interracial marriage? What’s the difference? You can’t help being born gay or trans anymore than you can help being born with a certain skin color.” This line of argument is what will eventually be used by Orthodox wolves, such as Archbishop Elpidophoros, when they fully, publicly “embrace” homosexualism and transgenderism.
- It provides cover for all of the grooming activity going on around you. If homosexuals and transgenders are born, not made, then taking kids to drag shows, sexualizing them early, exposing them to perverse sexuality in entertainment, molesting them even – none of that matters parents, because these are in-born characteristics. Just go back to sleep, and let us have your kids.
Children are not born perverse. They are born innocent. Children are groomed into these lifestyles by adults. This is not new, but with the Internet it is now on steroids. Joseph Sciambra was molested as a child by a Roman Catholic Priest, and subsequently convinced that he was “gay”. He spent decades in the self-destructive homosexual lifestyle, before eventually finding repentance and a path to the Orthodox Church. He is worth listening to on the issues of grooming and over how fixated our society has become over Transgenderism to the exclusion of concerns over homosexuality. As bad as Transgenderism is, the “LGB” is even more important than the “T” in terms of damage to young lives. You can see from the numbers above, there are millions more kids being convinced they are “gay” or “bisexual” than who are being convinced to get “gender affirming care”.
No one in the so-called LGBT community ever manipulated, groomed, or abused vulnerable young people until transgender activists starting doing it. This is such BS. I was abused over 40 years ago. I didn't know anyone transgender. But I did know some gay men.

Imagine how much more effective grooming can be in the modern age of the Internet featuring social media, Web pages, and direct communication? Best part? Parents actually give their children the devices groomers use to get to them.
Mom and dad – did you really think this through?
This is not to downplay the current transgender craze. That is happening too, and it is damaging children permanently. You can repent from sinful behavior. You can never recover from amputation and long-term hormone use. While in-person grooming into transgenderism plays a role, it is the Internet that really drives this social contagion. This excerpt is from an article by a “detransitioner” and clearly explains how much the Internet, especially Tumblr, is driving this destructive behavior:
So, what did radical feminism mean to me? I hadn’t actually read any works by radical feminist thinkers, only excerpts from writings by feminists like Andrea Dworkin, Judith Butler, and Julie Bindel, which were posted without context on Tumblr by other trans-inclusive radical feminists. Some of those feminists were trans themselves; some were not. They were the thought leaders. They constructed an ideology collaboratively, using social media as their medium. Not all of them agreed with each other, but a spiderweb of mutual follows connected them, and what one wrote on any one day would influence what a dozen others wrote the next day. When I was fifteen years old, I adopted a kaleidoscopic, schizophrenic ideology patched together from hundreds of individual posts talking about feminism, disability, gender identity, queerness, race, capitalism, and leftism. I didn’t have the context for any of it, and neither did any of the other teenage kids on Tumblr at the time–of which there were many. I knew a few of them well. I called the police to one’s house during a suicide attempt. We took this stuff in and internalized it. We believed it.
The world painted by Tumblr’s radical queer, feminist, transsexual theorists was one that has since become familiar to many people. You might know it as Wokeism, DEI, Successor Ideology, or Critical Theory. It has many tenets, but to massively oversimplify, it applies a pseudo-Marxist analysis to pretty much every social issue: men oppress women, whites oppress People of Color, the abled oppress the disabled, and so on. Through the magic of Intersectionality, these class antagonisms coalesce into one great struggle: the oppression of the Marginalized by White Supremacist Capitalist Cis-Hetero-Patriarchy (the Enemy). The world is wicked, and it is that way because it was made wicked by the Enemy.
Parents are rightly upset about the sexual indoctrination of kids in schools. Parents are protesting, running for school board, and voting the radicals out of office. Legislatures are responding to parental pressure with laws restricting the sexualization of children via inappropriate school lessons and reading content. If a “Red Wave” does materialize in November, expect this trend to accelerate. Many parents are also, finally, taking responsibility to stop their children’s consumption of movies and TV with inappropriate sexual content using parental controls on cable and streaming services. Though, unfortunately, parents often allow their children to access much of that same blocked content directly via the Internet. Concerned parents are also using Internet filters to block their children’s access to pornography.
While almost any Internet filtering service will stop the porn, most let all the other harmful content through out of fear of being attacked as “homophobic” or “transphobic”. The starting place for getting porn away from our children, is to first, get all our men–and women– off of it. Fifteen years ago, I heard a reputable sex-addiction therapist quote statistics back then that said, half of all Christian men–regardless of denomination–were habitually using porn. During the full build-out of the “world wide web”—1990s— (I had read somewhere), the income of online porn exceeded the NFL, the NBA, and MLB combined. In fact: the porn industry largely built the www and many have been caught in that web.

I have heard–from someone who would know (someone who had been there)–that even monks on Mt. Athos with cell phones were viewing porn (has this been remedied?). If this is true, we need a serious housecleaning at every level. The only way, is to have a zero tolerance: YOU CANNOT CHANGE WHAT YOU TOLERATE.
Any clergy under the spell of porn will also make serious errors in all other judgments he makes. Is the delusion regarding the frankenshot traceable back to the use of porn by clergy? It’s hard to say for sure. But invariably, it would be endemic of an overall unregenerate condition where absolutely nothing of their value judgements could be trusted. By the numbers, It is safe to say too many clergy are addicted.
“For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to [turned into] a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life” (Proverbs 6:26 KJV). Turning into the porn woman has the same effect as the adulterous woman; porn is adultery. It turns any and every man into a—loaf of bread— gutless, spineless, and hapless sap only to be devoured by whatever comes. If we are looking for a moral backbone, with these, we will not find it.
The only sensible approach to porn is a zero tolerance on every level. Porn is a vortex of evil operating according to the law of diminishing return. What brings pleasure today must be increased tomorrow. Even good men caught in this trap find themselves doing things they would never have imagined in the start. If there is an elephant in the room being ignored, this is it.
Any clergy caught in this trap must get free even if it means leaving his post going low profile to get help. Get help at any cost. Do it for your family, do it for the Church, do it for your own salvation. Just do it before it’s too late.
Good points. We talk about this filtering software to help kids, but the truth is, it can really help dads as well. (Sometimes moms too). Sometimes we all need a little help avoiding temptation. Alcoholics don’t keep bottles of booze at home. Perhaps we all need to use a filtering software so that we don’t have the temptation, until we are able to avoid it on our own.

Introduction
Over the past 45 years, our society has undergone a revolution – there is really no other way to describe it – in the prevailing cultural attitudes towards homosexuality and various related ‘alternative’ sexualities, an entire range of behaviors now collectively referred to by the acronym LGBTQ – Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (this last term being a catch-all for identities and behaviors that do not fit into any of the preceding categories). Most of the contemporary population has come of age during this revolution. Older readers will remember a time when if such things were even mentioned, it was usually in the form of a tasteless joke, or in the context of an insult.
…Today, not only does our society broadly tolerate homosexual behavior, it is legally recognized and given protected status. The US Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision in June of 2015 made the United States the 22nd country to officially recognize same-sex marriage. Homosexual characters are everywhere in television and films, and the attention of social progressives is moving towards the mainstreaming of ever more exotic sexual identities. Young people are growing up in an environment where casual acceptance of homosexuality and bisexuality is increasingly seen as the norm, and where dissenters from the new orthodoxy are regarded with contempt, not only as ignorant and unenlightened, but as positively evil.
This change in attitudes presents an array of challenges as we seek to live our lives as Christians. In some respects, the issues we face are similar to those of our brethren in late-classical antiquity. On the other hand, for them the norms of pagan sexuality represented a long-prevailing status quo, for which the Church was proclaiming a revolutionary alternative. For us, we face a newly remade moral landscape, and one which, far from being static, is evolving rapidly as it is driven forward by powerful social and political forces.

Preface This report was written for the general public and for mental health professionals in order to draw attention to — and offer some scientific insight about — the mental health issues faced by LGBT populations.
It arose from a request from Paul R. McHugh, M.D., the former chief of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital and one of the leading psychiatrists in the world. Dr. McHugh requested that I review a monograph he and colleagues had drafted on subjects related to sexual orientation and identity; my original assignment was to guarantee the accuracy of statistical inferences and to review additional sources. In the months that followed, I closely read over five hundred scientific articles on these topics and perused hundreds more. I was alarmed to learn that the LGBT community bears a disproportionate rate of mental health problems compared to the population as a whole.
As my interest grew, I explored research across a variety of scientific fields, including epidemiology, genetics, endocrinology, psychiatry, neuroscience, embryology, and pediatrics. I also reviewed many of the academic empirical studies done in the social sciences including psychology, sociology, political science, economics, and gender studies.
I agreed to take over as lead author, rewriting, reorganizing, and expanding the text. I support every sentence in this report, without reservation and without prejudice regarding any political or philosophical debates. This report is about science and medicine, nothing more and nothing less.

4% are “something else.” Of course they are — this script keeps getting better and better! Maybe these confused people are the so-called “furries,” who “identify” as animals and reportedly are requiring litter boxes be installed in school classrooms so they can use them during class?
Are we all non-paid extras in a never-ending sci-fi/horror film, or is this “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”?
Any Orthodox Christian who sends their children to a legacy public school should be flogged. As a young family we put off buying a home so my wife could home school the kids. You must make the hard choices these days and if you just go with the flow of things, in time you will regret it. Now that my kids are all grown and have families of their own, they make wise choices regarding the schooling of our grandchildren.
Next to your own soul, there is nothing more important than the upbringing of the children in the Faith. Nowhere more do you want to hear those words, “well done good and faithful servant….” than in the rearing of the children God entrusted you with. Do whatever it takes to make it work, don’t be governed by convenience, just figure it out; don’t expect the Church to raise your children for you. If you send them to the public school, they will be children of the public school system and not children of the Church. If you think a few hours at church can counter 8+ hours a day of indoctrination, peer pressures etc, you are decieved and will suffer for it. Once you hand them over to the public school beast, they are no longer yours, face it.
In our fair town, we have a few charter schools that make a huge difference. When my youngest daughter (now matuska in Sacramento), went to charter school for high school I went with her the first few days of class. I wanted everybody–every boy–to know my daughter already had a man in her life, and if they wanted any influence with her, they would be going through me (it worked). We tossed a number of boys before the right one showed up.
While she was there at the charter school I frequently showed up unannounced, got to know the teachers, staff, and administration, coached track (she went to state 3 of 4 years), and served on the board of directors–chaired the board of directors. There would be no way on God’s green earth that i would sent my child into something I had no influence over or didn’t know intimately the inner workings.
You must make the sarcrifice, it is unavoidable, to do it right; you must make the hard choices and from here on out, it only gets worse.
Of course you are correct. But this type of appeal falls on deaf ears. Most people (including the Orthodox) will not “regret” anything or “wake up.” They will find endless ways to justify themselves and/or deny the cold, hard truth about the hellions they are raising.
No doubt, you are correct. Wisdom cries in the streets and no one listens until its too late. Kids raised by the public school system often turn violently against their parents and any faith their parents might have. How do we get the Orthodox to wake up? I’m open for suggestions.
The numbers indicate that quite a number of parents are awake, and that the movement out of public schools is absolutely happening.
A good start but probably too little, too late.
My point is that if the past 2.5 years have not “awakened” them to the evil they are swimming in and caused them to change course, nothing will.
A blocking app is great until they go to elementary school (or preschool) and have it shoved in their innocent faces by twisted teachers, administrators, etc. Therefore, now is not a time to just hide things from kids. They need their parents to talk about this satanic junk and its many strategies openly. Kids need to be armed to recognize the evil and defend their minds. Too many “Orthodox” think that because they have a friend or relative with the LGBT perversion that it must be okay. The perversion destroys adult minds, too.
